No question in my opinion given his cumulative success

I am into championships, not awards.

A single national title, in which you were the first to have two losses, plus less than a handful of top 5 finishes and going 8-6 in bowl games is not Hall-of-Fame worthy. I would hope the bar is set a little higher than that.

if he can keep winning, he will be before he is done...
he will either win games for LSU or win games Vs LSU...our choice.

Yes, he has 5 more years left to coach. He will win another natty and another 50 games. Easily a HOF career imo.

I just looked up college coaches in the Hall of Fame and saw Bill Snyder was just inducted last year. So clearly there is a "lifetime achievement award" quality to it where you can get it for coaching for an extremely long time without every having sustained elite success. Though the argument could be made that what Snyder has done with Kansas is Hall-Of-Fame worthy.
Regardless, it is clear to me that if Miles coaches another 15 years at LSU and continues exactly as he has since, say, 2010, he will get in. That would be the occasional top 5 finish, no additional national titles, mostly finishing ranked in the teens, but staying on for 25+ years with one school. That will get him in.

One more natty to avenge 2011. Then it can be up for discussion and would put him up another level

He's LSU hall of fame no doubt. I think another NC and by extension another SEC title or two would cement it nationally

This conversation doesn't start until 200 wins.

John Cooper, Mike Bellotti, and freaking RC Slocum, who never had a top 5 finish, are in.

Yeah if you look who is in, then Miles will get in.

Bill Snyder is a hell of a coach, he had multiple 10 win seasons with absolutely no talent pool amongst a bunch of other talent rich Big 12 teams! It's not just that he's done it forever. There's a reason after letting him go KSU begged him to come back! I mean they were natl contenders late into the season as recently as 2011!
