Is Kevin Steele:Les Miles the same as Lou Tepper:Gerry Dinardo?

I say it clearly is. The fact that you bring in a guy who has LITERALLY never had success in the DC role to replace an SEC legend like Chavis is a firable offense in and of itself. If we do keep Les, he not only needs to fire Cameron and BDP, but Steele needs to go as well or else we might not go bowling next year.

No I doubt Les will tie his wagon to Steele after this year.

Has the defense been that bad tho?

Our roster has been pretty depleted at the lines, which is where the biggest defensive flaws have been.

Eh.

Fair enough.

The Lou stepper comparison is a bit much though.

Uh...yes. Busted coverages. Busted coverages EVERYWHERE!

This is the worst defense LSU has fielded this century.
The Dline is thin for sure, but it will be even worst next year losing Mills, Tre White, and Beckwith.

No god no Tepper was a whole level of terrible and torpedoed an otherwise good team.

It's hard to tell but I think Teppers defense was worse than this one. I think this one is worse than 2008 though. Not sure where 2013 fits in. It was bad too. At least 2008 was stout against the run.

Did you even watch a Lou Tepper coached defense?

I don't see Steele running a 3-4.

No, if anything BDP is Miles's Tepper.

Not really. THis defense is worst statistically than that one.

Tepper's 1999 group allowed 259 points in 11 games.

Steele's 2015 group allowed 257 points in 10 games.

So we're on pace to have the worst defense since 1999.

It wasn't just busted coverage with Tepper - it was busted everything. Drop linebacker, 4 years to implement, Thomas Dunson wondering around the middle of the field looking for someone to cover.... Waayyy worse than Steele.

Two. Came in after Carl Reese left for same position at Texas. Carl had gotten tired of DiNardo's shite between the two of them. If Carl had stayed around, DiNardo would have coached for a while longer with more success.

I think it would be very wrong to keep Les after so much has happened.

Why would Les really want to stay if any of these "rumors" are true.

Not sure if you noticed, but Bama, Arkansas, and Ole Miss were able to do whatever they damn well pleased against our defense. It was the football version of rape.

It's more like BDP = Tepper/McConnell.

In the end, it was DiNardo's stubborness that failed him.

Seems familiar.

Tepper was supposed to be some sort of mad defensive genius who was going to revolutionize the SEC. Steele was never really heralded as anything but a solid hire, at best.

Oh, and Tepper was much worse, even if Steele is shite in actuality.

Oh, and this just in:

WVU SCORES AGAIN!!!!!

How anyone can argue for keeping steele is beyond me. There's literally no statistic or no logical reason to keep him. HE was a bad hire from the get go.

Should've opened with this instead of a piss poor analogy.
