e all know Aranda runs a multiple defense but he will base his defense off a 3-4
We have the personnel to run a 4-2-5, not so much to run a 3-4. That's asking an awful lot of Fowler, White, and/or Divinity.

I agree. It is a lot to ask for a freshman to start at LB in the SEC but I feel Divinity or Fowler will be better than Duke or Alexander. Divinity is already enrolled and will participate in spring so that should really help him get ready.
It's hard to run a 4-2-5 as a base. TCU does it well but they run it with 3 safeties and 2 CB's so they're more suited to stop the run on first and second down. And we're actually pretty thin at Safety right now when it comes to experience.
Under Chavis we ran the 4-2-5 (mustang) only in passing downs and ran it with 2 safeties and 3 corners which made it damn good for running man coverage and still getting dline pressure.

I just think it's going to be very very hard to keep Donte Jackson and Saivion Smith of the field, moreso than Fowler or Divinity. Dwayne Thomas (insert joke here) is also a senior, so that might be a consideration.
We'll see. There's certainly no shortage of talent, but we're going to be green in a few areas regardless. I think the best bet is going to be the 4-2-5 with Beckwith and Riley in the middle, but it'll be interesting to see what Aranda does with the talent.
A 4-2-5 as a base is a recipe for disaster against Alabama and Arkansas.

On Pocic and the OL...
It's not a fore gone conclusion, only my opinion. I think he ends up there based on his ability. I wouldn't be shocked if Teuhema ends up at RT. If he was one of our five best this year, and better than Weathersby, then I think he takes VA's spot. Most felt he was a future LT when he signed. Maybe he slides there after Pocic leaves? I'm loving Weathersby now though too.
here's my stab at it...
LT - Pocic
LG - Weathersby
C - Clapp
RG - Boutte
RT - Teuhema

He will start Jackass.. Bet lifetime ban?? If he is heathy..

Lacouture had been starting since his true freshman year, yeah he will start. Will be hard keeping Jackson out the starting line up as well.

When is the last time we had 6 seniors and zero freshmen starters on any side of the ball?
Posted on 1/20/16 at 6:20 pm to Stellyonidas
Jennings jersey number could have also been used as his rating

Does anybody know when we should hear back the status of Gordon's medical redshirt?

I have a few things I slightly disagree with you. I mean creating an entire depth chart and creating ratings for each isn't the easiest thing lol. Overall good job! Would love to play with this team in NCAA 17 but oh well!

Lol
You realize that we have at least 8-9 players starting that will be future 1st or 2nd rounders, with many being 1st....yeah, its not exceptional.

we need to run some 3 man TE fronts.

Isn't spell check supposed to correct that? Come on technology jeeze.

Where exactly will we be green? Serious question. I don't see a tf starting, but some will be in rotation on d...only possible spot IMO is divinity.

That really depends on the formation, doesn't it? If we're running a 3-4, then we're going to have three linebackers with almost no game experience. If we're running a 4-2-5, then Toliver and Jackson are going to be on the field a lot and we may even see Smith or Fulton playing a prominent role.
That doesn't mean that those units won't be very special, but outside of White, we're very young at CB, and outside of Beckwith, we're very young at LB. Hell, if you want to keep going, we're very young on the OL outside of Pocic.
Those three players coming back for their senior years was absolutely critical to having success in 2016.

That's a valid argument. It just seems like by the way Harris throws it, the offense needs the longest and best range guys on the field

Yes. Very weird. Let's wait until the night before spring practice starts. We'll worry about it then. PS. I bet that's what the staff did for the 2 weeks prior to the bama game.
