Is it the play calling or Etling?

We are not very good passing the ball.

He has no line. He is worried about being killed and rushes his passes

it does not matter WHAT PLAY IS CALLED>

he cannot read a D, has no pocket presence and bails way too soon. his timing is off as he is late with releases.

Line actually played decent. DE panicked.

Both.

Some pass plays called take too long to develop and we have poor blocking.

However, today, several times DE looked like Brandon Harris 2.0. He sailed short passes, then other times tucked ball to run too early when he could have stepped up into clean pocket and delivered a strike.

The line isn't good.

But there were a few passes where he had time and missed by a mile.

Early in the game he overthrew a wide open TE.

Canada called a perfect play and Danny missed DW for a sure TD.

Even the ball Chark stole from the DB was a bad throw.

Those weren't in the O line

He's not good but he's probably the best option we have

3 true freshman played on the o-line today.

Not saying its all them, the playcalling has been atrocious.

Canada was supposed to call plays according to his personnel and he isn't doing it.

You can't question his toughness. But even Hercules get tired of guys teeing off on you.

Both. He's not a guy who you can put in third and long against a good defense and consistently get good results. He can manage a game well if you put him in the right positions with a good offense. If we get killed by Auburn and he's bad I think you play Myles against Ole Miss

don't think we win this game with out DE.

They don't use his strengths to his advantage. No short passes

That was probably the best the line looked since BYU.

The line doesn't help.. but even when he has time he is not good with his progressions and his timing with his throws among other things. But the kid has guts.

horseshite

he panicks. he is not accurate. he does not go through progressions.

you expect this guy to do power reads and zone reads all day? how about speed options? the guy is not good and cannot execute much.

He's starting to show signs of the battered QB syndrome.

He's not stepping up in the pocket. He's escaping the pocket too soon.

If Etling can't hang in the pocket all of his value goes away.
