On the field with no forfeits.

And, is it possible for LSU to lose a game while scoring 1 point? For example, 20-1.

you can run back a blocked extra point for 1

I believe running back a blocked extra point counts 2 points.

I believe so, unless you can get a 1 point safety after giving up a TD, which I guess would require the team attempting the PAT to somehow wind up with the ball in their own endzone

There's such thing as a 1 point safety?

This is correct. 1 point safety on an extra point attempt.

Yep, I've only seen it on a blocked PAT where the defense tries to return it and then goes back into their own endzone and tackled there. Its a 1 point safety. It happened in a bowl game a few years ago.

I'm wondering if somehow the kicking team went all the way back to their own endzone and got tackled there if the rule would still apply

On the kick it should be the full two points. It's just one point on the extra try.

Edit: I thought you meant kickoff. On the extra point kick yes. It actually works on NCAA football game.

Blocking team returns it almost all the way back, kicking team strips it, tries to return it and in the process goes into their own end zone and is tackled? I don't see why not. If I were the ref in that situation I'd probably just walk off the field

Hmm. Learn something new every day. Always assumed it would be two points.
