I have seen Karnell Hatcher more and more as this season went on. I guess it is because Taylor was injured...? Not sure on that, but, he seems to consistently be in on terrible defensive plays.

He seems to be slow, a poor tackler, and, after arkansas, mildly retarded.

I watched Danny McCray get beat for what seemed like 4 years, but was probably more like 2. I would hate to spend next season yelling at the TV and whoever else is watching it raving about how bad he sucks.

Tell me I am wrong to expect that.

You mean the same Danny McCray that's currently playing for the Dallas Cowboys?

Ronnie Prude handed the torch to McCray and it has been handed down to Hatcher as the db that consistently pisses me off.

bs...what about the huge td play against ole miss he also gave up. There is NO EXCUSE for the play before half-time. He HAS to realize what position they are in and just tackle the damn guy instead of trying to make some spectacular play. he looks very slow, and takes very poor angles constantly. I have noticed that since he has been playing, not just the last two games....yesterday, he was horrendous as was he against ole miss. WE MUST HAVE BETTER with all the talent we have in the backfield.

McCray was a good player who was constantly put in awful situations.

FACT

McCray was a much better player than Hatcher. McCray ran in the mid 4.5s, Hatcher is straight 4.8 maybe worse.

He's the slowest safety that I can ever remember on an LSU squad. He makes most OLB look like track stars.

WTF the same LSU #44 that was constantly trailing when the opposing WR was scoring a TD and I agree LSU#37 is following in those footsteps

@ all of the revisionist McCray history (especially the comment about McCray being on the Cowboys as if the fact that he's basically a special teams guy and a borderline camp body is somehow impressive).

No, you're not the only one who made this connection after seeing Hatcher the past two weeks;dude has looked VERY weak, and is conspicuous by his horrid play.

That's a fact.

yes.

took wrong path to ball, and gave two TDs to ARky.

injured own teammate. quite the trifecta.

I hope Loston beats him out next year.
I agree with "MILDLY RETARDED". made the same mistake for both Ark TDs.

I am in no way defending his play...but the dude does hit like a truck.

He is one of the only defenders that plants his feet and the offensive player is stone stopped.

Maybe he could play closer to the line of scrimmage.

If he is starting over Reid and Taylor at safety next year, i will lose it. Those two are clearly our two best safeties. I hope Loston can be the third guy
