They both look bad. That's why we are still considered to most to have no QB. Nobody is afraid of who we put out there, unfortunately. QB is a big position and huge factor in every game. Jennings has won some big ones and Harris has shown flashes, but we have a long way to go to develop both or even one of these guys.

If qb H has less than half the playing time as QB J but managed to accumulate the same amount of touchdowns as QB J...

Then yes he is better than Jennings.

You haven't seen Jennings and Harris in the other games they shared time?

How about when Harris lead the team to like 9 or 10 straight TDs.. and Jennings was throwing horrific versus scrub teams...

2 nice gifs. Here's every play that Harris and Jennings made in the Auburn game.

There's a reason that Harris isn't starting.

The light needs to turn on for one of them. I don't care which one.

Otherwise next year will be a turd fest for our offense.

Or you're just going to blame Miles no matter the outcome.

no blame - just stating possibilities
... just saying what I read in his decision .. he did not have a losing side..for him.

basing my opinion on his history with stubbornness and arrogance....
so yes, i see that move as a possibility

If you make Harris starter you're benching Jennings, even if you're doing it to work on Harris' confidence. That's not difficult for people with even 2nd grade intelligence to understand.

AJ is a sophomre ... he may still improve a lot in time,
but IN CASE HE DOES NOT, we MUST start NOW grooming someone else.. and Harris is it.

Harris > Jennings against New Mexico State

Jennings > Harris against Auburn

Harris > Jennings against Miss State

I don't think you can compare any games outside of these 3. Harris just looks very freshman and that's why he doesn't play. That fact is a big reason we got embarrassed at Auburn.

Then Jennings is NOT a TEAM Player and Miles is a horrible coach.... And does NOT care about the QB situation at LSU.........

yes Harris is better. But the ineptitude of the passing game has a lot more to do with other factors rather than who the QB is.

Because he was benched vs Auburn in his 1st start of his career and it just happened to be on the road vs a hostile opponent? And we struggled on the OL and in the running game and on D early on in the season as well, Auburn game included.

I love when people always bring up the Auburn game as to why Harris shouldnt play...

Do you remember this for Jennings? New Mexico St

And its not like its just been 1 bad game for Jennings... hes been bad for pretty much every game this season, except maybe ULM and Sam Houston St.

And Harris looked great vs New Mexico St and Miss St... games where Jennings was horrible / benched. At least Harris has shown that he has the talent to be a good QB. I havent seen that from Jennings.

Yeah, like keeping Dupre's routes in bounds. The boy runs straight out of bounds….he needs to get more physical.

The Auburn game is the reason he doesn't play. Ask the coaches. People bring it up because it's the truth. Also, the reason Jennings was benched and didn't start against Auburn was because of his performance against New Mexico State. You have added no new information here.

C/A Yds. TD INT
3/14 58 0 0

2/5 11 0 2

Harris' stats @AU and Jennings vsNMST. Both played bad, but I still don't see why Harris is shelved for one bad game.

The coaches have royally messed up the QB development. A close competition means we should have seen both from the get go. The coaches failed starting game 2 of the season. Harris should have been implemented over time and given a series here or there. It's obvious the LSU staff trusts very few people in pressure situations. That means your team is reliant on the same guys to execute in those situations and the future of the program suffers because of that. Look how unprepared the offense is. I mean, no wr is ready to really help us and that is a direct correlation to using Landry and Beckham exclusively. I mean, they were unbelievable, but we needed to develop some others and it could have been done. I don't expect anything to change at the QB position anytime soon.

No shite...

But we also are a completely diff team now than we were vs Auburn. We were still bad on defense, struggled with the OL and running game too.

We have found our best group of OL and found our rushing attack. Why not let Harris get in there and see what he can do with some help...a running game and sound OL? And keep the game plan the same and dont put Harris out there and pass the entire game and put it all on him. Keep the power run game going strong, just like it would be with Jennings, but have Harris at QB and see if we arent a better team / more efficient offense.

I don't see the harm in giving the kid a shot at least within the game. I mean I understand not letting him run the 2 minute drill, but he should have a chance to sling it every now and then.
