But that one awesome year was enough to make him a great hire. 2007 had the best offense I've seen at LSU. Unpredictable, explosive, and just fun to watch.

No football team needs 10 dlineman "ready to rotate in". Five DTs and five DEs would be an incredible luxury. Eight is plenty. This year we have the following (those in bold are proven commodities):

DT's - Lacouture, Godchaux, Gilmore, Herron, QT
DE's - Bower, Neal, Clark, Bain, Tehuema

Recruiting does not equal coaching.

Les Miles can recruit his arse off, but coaching...not so much.

O has to prove he can also coach, not just talk a good game to high school kids.
