I'm actually hoping that Devin White is such a stud that he cannot be kept out of the starting lineup.

No way does Devin White run an eltronically time 4.5 which would be faster than Clowney who was TOUTED FOR HIS SPEED...he's a freshman.....aaarrrggghhh

Pretty sure he ran a 4.5 at the opening.

You do realize LSU/Aranda will usually be in a 3-4 base "D"? That means four LBs not just three.

Starters as of now
ILB - Beckwith and Riley
OLB - Key and Bower

Yes. And Miles has already stated that he expects White to play in every game this year which means either Riley or Alexander will not be on the field. White is a freak athlete and Miles and Aranda definitely see something in this guy already.

A little off topic, but all yall seem to point to Riley as the weak link on D and I guess White could potentially replace him, but to me Jefferson is the weak link on D and we have more options to replace him than we do Duke. I guess my complaints just fall on deaf ears because of Miles' obsession. With the Jeffersons!

You need to check the Louisiana High School track records. His times are proven, electronically. It's amazing that people just assume nobody else can be as fast as Clowney.

He will get good amout of playing time. He may start a game or 2 but lookout for Devin Voorhies.

Devin is about to suprise some people.

Agree, that will be how we open it. BIG question is does Riley have enough you know what in his seat to shed larger blockers, and drop a RB 1v1? Sure wish White was a SOPH with a year of PT under his belt. He and Beck would be stout roaming at ILB. Hope we can figure it out by the time we get to those downhill running teams like Bama and Ark in the backend of the schedule. GT!

He's expected to start but I think we're going to see various personnel packages that will feature Devin White as well. Duke has the makings of a decent starter and I think he'll be good in coverage and pursuit. I worry about how well he'll hold up against power running offenses though.

There's no such worry when it comes to Devin White. He was built to blow up runs. And even though he's around 30 lbs heavier than Riley, he's just as athletic.

Aranda has had nothing but good things to say about Duke and is favoring him starting right now.

While not huge, he's bigger than most realize at 230 pounds. I expect him to have similar production to Deion Jones.

He hasn't played well since he's been here. I haven't seen anything from him that would make me believe he's anywhere close to playing at Jones' level.

You're wrong. You can search TD or Google. And what does Clowney have to to w/ Devin's speed and 40 time?
