We're locked up as DBU at least until class of 2015's graduate. Toliver has been committed to us for some time and is the #1 player, not just DB, of the class...

Not to mention all the other studs we have locked up.

If DBU did leave... We are coming back soon!

Tre' White- was a pretty good CB this year as a true frosh.. Only going to get better IMO
RR- Is going to be a monster next season after a real off-season with Moffit.
Mills- needs to get back to his FR year ways and quick because if we get the DBs we want in 2014 idk if he'll be playing much.
D. Thomas- I like him a lot, think he needs more playing time in the bowl game. Guy makes a lot of plays off the edge
R. Jefferson- solid cover safety, needed to play more this season. Not sure why he didn't

Add in Tony Brown, Ed Paris, Jamal Adams, Toliver ('15) and we will be unbelievable

It's funny that people think Reid wasn't very good last year yet he is the starting free safety for a top 3 defense in the NFL. Do you really think he got there from being not very good? I mean honestly, he made some mistakes last year and when he did it went noticed because we realized just how good he was. Could he really have made the jump from a not-so-good safety who regressed to a legitimate starting FS in the NFL while not being very good?

Jamal Adams AND Jamal peters out of bassfield, ms are highly interested. I've been watching peters for a while now and think he's as good as 5* safety Adams...

He was great in 2011. Could've had nagging injuries last year but he wasnt as good. Im happy hes had success in SF.

Reid is/was an animal. He lost a ton of support and safety has more jobs than corner. When he's having to pick up slack from everyone around him obviously he won't play as good. Like you said. Results are in the pudding. Anyone saying ANYONE starting in the NFL isn't good then they're simply ignorant to the game.

Was responding to the guy above me. Didn't see what anyone actually said or didn't say. Either way, just illustrating the point.

Reid was better in 2011 than 2012
Only because he had TM7 and Claiborne in 2011.

See how that works?

Dwane Thomas will be TM7 2.0. Guy is a beast coming off the edge.

Still dont know why this guy hasnt seen more pt. Almost as baffling as keeping welter. Atleast with welter they may not be much diff in him and louis, but thomas needed to be our nickle the whole season.

Any great player won't look so great once their talent level around them fall off! That goes for everyone, still is a great player. Btw he's surrounded by great player at the moment so he's playing great no but he did take a step down from 11 to 12 but most would of if not all.

ehh... He did look better when he had taylor on the opposite side of him. He was a damn good player, but def not the best. Laron i sup there. I mean shite tm7 could have excelled at any spot in the defensive backfield.

I think Tre White will be a Mo type player eventually.

RR21 on the other hand, is different than all of the past DBs. Incredible potential.

One of those is not like the others.

Funny thing is, you probably think it's Simon. Amazing how many ranters don't know talent! The giant gap is between PP7 and Mo. Big gap between Mo and Simon as well. Actually, the OP did a good job covering a spectrum from first ballot NFL HOFer, through good NFL starter, to solid NFL backup.
