re: No More Jucifer Cans - TheFlyingDrogbas
I think the 8/7 batch was just off pre-canning. I am guessing they have been rushing and trying to get batches out and realize that if they let the quality slip it will harm them in the long run....

re: No More Jucifer Cans - TheFlyingDrogbas
Agreed, poured one last night from an 8/7 6-pack and it was off. Just looked and smelled different from the beginning and tasted off. I was really disappointed because the first couple 6-packs were phenomenal. Hopefully they can take a step back and get it right before going back to mass release....

re: Favorite campgrounds in the South? - TheFlyingDrogbas
I second Reunion Lake just outside of Hammond, LA. Lots of activities going on all the time. If you are looking for wilderness this isn't your place, but it's really nice and they have a ton to do for adults and kids....

re: Very disappointed in Jai Alai IPA - TheFlyingDrogbas
Agree with the original poster. Had some back in July bought from Wine World in Sandestin and didn't get through half of it. Borderline undrinkable....

re: Turks and Caicos Islands... - TheFlyingDrogbas
Stayed at the Gansevoort last summer and absolutely loved it. We rented a car for a day and drove the island. Not sure you would really need to explore more than 1 or 2 days. Depending on where you stay on Grace Bay, you could walk to most of the restaurants which are fantastic. Very expensive but e...

re: Dave Aranda is the 2nd best coach in the SEC, head coaches included - TheFlyingDrogbas
I love Aranda and I definitely think he's one of the best coordinators around, but he did have the luxury of having a ton of experienced talent in his first year. I think this year will speak to how great of a coach he is given the inexperience at LB and DB. I expect to have some growing pains but I...

re: Tried my first Ghost - TheFlyingDrogbas
Envie - nice hop bite for an APA, more orange flavor Bloom - very soft, smooth. Less of a hop bite than Opus Opus - really solid, slightly hoppier IPA. Ghost - much boozier than the others, which makes sense given it's a DIPA. Bloom is my favorite of them all with Opus coming in not far behin...

re: Do any of you have separate bank accounts from your wife? - TheFlyingDrogbas
Separate accounts, joint credit card. I pay everything from my account and she Venmos me every month. We plan to join accounts at some point but until we have kids, it just isn't really necessary. We put everything on the credit card and rack up rewards so it's easy to track everything too....

re: Jucifer Availability - TheFlyingDrogbas
I've stopped by multiple times to buy beer during the week. Just walk in the front and ask someone if they have any available and if they do they will ring you up at the bar....

re: OSU coach not calling for replay...how bad was that decision? - TheFlyingDrogbas
Herb Vincent, who now works for the SEC, just posted that a coach cannot call for replay, only the crew chief. Not sure if that's true but it makes sense and I would think he would know....

re: GB Jucifer - TheFlyingDrogbas
It's not just that it lost its haze. I thought it was incredible at first and it wasn't bad the second time, but no where near as good as it was about a week earlier. Both times were from the same 4 pack....

re: GB Jucifer - TheFlyingDrogbas
Zach told me this will be distributed the same as the other flagships which has me worried a little. Brightside was fantastic initially and over the course of a week or two lost all of its haze and just tasted off. The Rye PA I had lost its haze pretty quickly as well so I'm worried that juicifer wi...

re: Anyone here tried Southfin Poke yet? - TheFlyingDrogbas
Yes, 4-5 times and it's been great every time. Good portion, fresh, and reasonably priced. The regular for 9.95 is a great deal and they're actually pretty quick getting people through the line....

re: Miami Bachelor Party - TheFlyingDrogbas
Just got back from Miami Music Week. Liv is the most well known club and was a great time, but Story is probably a nicer club and I liked it a little better. I'm not sure if you care who is playing at which club, but that will determine what table minimums are, which I wouldn't do without if I were ...

re: Brieux Carre Brewery in Nola - TheFlyingDrogbas
I got to know the brewmaster here pretty well and he's got a lot of talent and has a lot of really good ideas. He's a young guy too so I would expect their beer to get even better with time. This is his first job as a brewmaster so if they are already putting out great beers, that's a great sign for...

re: FBD: A tradition like no other - TheFlyingDrogbas
New Brightside is absolutely fantastic. I think they nailed the perfect blend of some juiciness and still have some of the bite of a good IPA. I spoke to the owner yesterday when I stopped in and he's really excited about Juicifer. Said it will be the same distrobution amount as the other 3 flagship...
