re: Anyone here tried Southfin Poke yet? - TheFlyingDrogbas
Yes, 4-5 times and it's been great every time. Good portion, fresh, and reasonably priced. The regular for 9.95 is a great deal and they're actually pretty quick getting people through the line....

re: Miami Bachelor Party - TheFlyingDrogbas
Just got back from Miami Music Week. Liv is the most well known club and was a great time, but Story is probably a nicer club and I liked it a little better. I'm not sure if you care who is playing at which club, but that will determine what table minimums are, which I wouldn't do without if I were ...

re: Brieux Carre Brewery in Nola - TheFlyingDrogbas
I got to know the brewmaster here pretty well and he's got a lot of talent and has a lot of really good ideas. He's a young guy too so I would expect their beer to get even better with time. This is his first job as a brewmaster so if they are already putting out great beers, that's a great sign for...

re: FBD: A tradition like no other - TheFlyingDrogbas
New Brightside is absolutely fantastic. I think they nailed the perfect blend of some juiciness and still have some of the bite of a good IPA. I spoke to the owner yesterday when I stopped in and he's really excited about Juicifer. Said it will be the same distrobution amount as the other 3 flagship...

re: 6 hour layover in Amsterdam - TheFlyingDrogbas
I would definitely just walk around the city and down the canals. It's an incredible city to hit a coffee shop and then strolll along casually and people watch, any time of the day....

re: I feel horrible for Antonio Blakeney - TheFlyingDrogbas
I don't feel bad for him. He could have gone to Louisville, Kentucky, Kansas, or UNC and chose to go to LSU because of Simmons. If I was a top recruit, there's no way I would pass up playing at a top program. That's like someone growing up in Kentucky and being a 5* RB with offers to Alabama, LSU, a...

re: Piped in Music is killing the Tiger Stadium atmosphere - TheFlyingDrogbas
Music's terrible, uniform's are terrible, offense is terrible. Man I hate it when we suck... Our fans will literally find anything to complain about. You won 45-10, either enjoy it. Or don't....

re: Lowell and Myles amongst top Elite11 performers Day 1 - TheFlyingDrogbas
Of course someone had to make a comment about that. The girl who got married is Myles' first cousin and is the assistant LSU cheer coach. Mike the Tiger made an appearance (a friend who was invited to the wedding), and an LSU chant broke out after pregame was played. Sorry you're too cool to chant L...

re: Lowell and Myles amongst top Elite11 performers Day 1 - TheFlyingDrogbas
Brennan isn't going anywhere. I know the his family well and they are all LSU and New Orleans people. No one in the family is a fan of Ole Miss or any other school for that matter. I saw Myles at a wedding last weekend and everytime an LSU chant started or Callin Baton Rouge played, you could see hi...

re: LASIK Surgery in Baton Rouge - TheFlyingDrogbas
Dr. Woo. $3,000 total and insurance covered $600. Went from -9.00 prescription to 20/20 in a couple days. I hated contacts and vision is so much clearer than with contacts. She actually turns away 1/3 of potential patients because she won't do the procedure unless she knows it will work....

re: Baton Rouge Market for a Craft Brewery - TheFlyingDrogbas
I thought the Red Stick Rye was fantastic and the Pompous Pelican was good, but I don't drink DIPA's so I can't compare it to much. I would gladly drink the Red Stick Rye regularly in both restaurants and bottle/can from stores. I live nearby as well and I'm looking forward to checking out the tapro...

re: Lasik cost - TheFlyingDrogbas
$2,400 here after insurance covered 20%. Most places offer 2 types, one for $799 per eye and the other at $1499 per eye. Don't go cheap, you only have one set....
