They're not precious little babies. They need to know the truth on how the coach feels and what they need to do to improve.

This isn't about the coach talking to his players.

because nothing good can come from this type of statement to the public.

Again, this isn't about that.

If our FB coach was a little more honest and no nonsense maybe we would see some more results

In regards to CPM he spoke the truth and if these particular players can't perform against the Southeastern/Princeton teams how can they be relied upon when we play Arkansas/Vandy/USCe?

Zardon is fine. PM just feels like tinkering.

And now is the time to do it in a few midweek games against less than stellar opponents.

I could not disagree with you more. Inside the locker room, those quotes are completely acceptable and a player needs to hear it. But you dont bring that outside the locker room. Period.

I love it. Especially When you deal with les miles who would prolly not even make a change and just keep saying how x player has want to succeed and that's all you get out of the interview.

Zardon has struggled in the field to say the least. CPM needs to make a change

I think CPM is just a straightforward person. I don't think this is a spiteful rant intended to hurt any player or an attempt to put them in their place.

Blunt and team plays better > blunt team gets worse.

I can see both sides.

The players should be able to handle their coach publicly saying what many are thinking.

At the same time, I tend to think these things should stay in the locker room.

Overall... MEH...

I mostly agree with you there. I'm less bothered by the candidness than the double standard for certain players and the comments specifically.

I would MUCH rather his candor than CLM's cryptic pseudo responses. I love Les and I'm glad he's in BR, but he's maddening sometimes.

The problem is he isn't consistent. I guess I like Les because he rustle peoples jimmies on a consistent basis and takes blame. I think pm could actually take a lesson out of Les' book. Like I didn't have these guys ready to play against stony brook, UCLA, or Houston.

Y'all complain that Saban says rude things but want him. CPM is a winner and does the same shite.
