yes, we have worked so hard in trying to get the right guy to get qb's since Jimbo. Cam is getting those guys. Harris is the best we have had in a while and he's only a true sophmore. We have a qb redshirting for the first time in a while, then you bring in franks. You will finally have some stability at the qb position.

If you don't, then you face franks for four years at florida while we have crap for a qb. People have to be rational about this. you can coach you're heart out, if you if you don't have the players, you aren't going to be successful. The only way i'm for cam leaving this year is if miles himself is gone. If miles is staying, keep cam. it's worth it.

contrary to what people say on here, cam isn't the issue. He is a very good o.c., he has the skins on the wall to prove it. set records in the n.f.l., developed some the best qb's in the game. Hell, he made george whitfield. LSU has had issues on offense way before cam. His issues now are due to his offensive line being manhandled. it's amazing how good the plays work when the line plays well. see florida.

I know you are one of the biggest dumbasses on this site but this post takes the cake. Patterson jumps from school to school. He is now heavily rumored to be wavering from ole miss. You would want a head case like him.

The biggest reason I'm pissed with Miles is he's letting this shite show happen with the potential GOAT recruiting class incoming.

If Cam goes, so does Franks. I'm worried about some other recruits too.

Should we keep Cam for next year, to see if Harris continues to improve and while we have Fournette? One last year for a title run and to keep the recruits?

The problem is not cam....It's Miles choking down the offense Big Ten style.....We had Jimbo Fisher a passing guy, Gary Croten a passing guy and Cam Cameron an NFL guy where they mostly pass and the offense has looked the same for the past ten years...
Run, Run, Pass, Punt, Peach Bowl.........
..common denominator......Miles

No. You let Cameron go and hire a new OC (hopefully someone like Darin Henshaw) during the recruiting dead period and if Franks decommits and goes somewhere else oh well. Trying to keep a recruit is not worth keeping a failed OC.

Why is everyone assuming that Franks is going to change his mind? Has he made comments, or is everyone just assuming since we suck developing QB's that he isn't coming to LSU?

lots of chatter and rumors coming from Florida

and in recruiting, when there is smoke, there is usually fire

#5for5, Landon Collins, Tosh Davis, etc

we have seen this before

The good of the program is greater than any recruit. Every year there will be someone as good or better than the one you missed out on the previous year.

We can get the best QB in the nation every year and the #1 recruiting class every year and still lose 3-4 games a year

Some of you really need to see a shrink

If we had that type of recruiting success we would win championships

We lost the Alabama game because there was a talent gap in the trenches

As for Arkansas, I'll chalk that up to coaching

Since Miles has been at LSU, the tigers have only had 2 QB's worth a d%*n, and both were products of other coaching staffs. He has never actually developed a decent quarterback.

I love Les, but this is definitely a problem.

No it isn't!!!

Cam and Les have continually shown a complete lack of ability to develop an offense and have wasted untold ammounts of talent on that side of the ball.

It is utter insanity to think that they will do any more with Franks other than waste whatever potential talent he has.

Yes, there will be recruiting hiccups whenever there is a coaching change. But I'd rather get someone who can maximize the loads of talent we DO have than keep incompetent coaches just so they sign a good recruiting class that we all know will never be given the chance to excel.

...I lol when I see all blame on the coaches and zero on players

While the players bear some of the responsibility, these issues have been consistently present for the entire tenure of Les.

It's not like the things we are complaining about are isolated to this season, in which case a stronger argument to blame the players could be made.

Lack of discipline, lack of focus, poor game planning, poor time management have been the hallmarks of Les Miles football. EVERY YEAR!!!!

Hell, these issues were even present much of 2011, but we had the talent to overcome them until it all came crashing down on 1/9.

NOBODY KNOWS THIS!!!

All speculation based of fear of the unknown.

What we do know is that the current coaching staff and system are broken.

Get the right people in place that can actually maximize our talent.

Besides, new coaches can recruit too. They may actually land some of these players you are so scared will jump ship.

Cam isn't the problem. Les' tight reins is the problem. 1970's philosophy is the problem.
