He's gone. And I think he can play shortstop in the bigs. He may not have the range to be an elite SS but I think with his arm and actions he can be at least an average defensive SS. Add in his bat and he should have a nice big league career.

He's a 5+ year starter at 2B in the MLB. Kid has great bat speed, great arm, great athleticism, and maybe most importantly a great head.

He isn't some elite talent like a Trout, but he's a very "complete" talent without holes in his game.

Mahtook is hitting .292 with almost 500 at bats in AAA and his on base % is .363, you're a fricking retard.

he may go pro this year, but being in triple A is a pretty big accomplishment, you have a much better chance to get struck by lightning than to play in triple a.

I think he is definitely going pro. But for those saying top 10 pick or 1st rd lock, I think is way too ambitious

Who does he compare to in MLB size wise and skill set? Pedroia?

He reminds me a lot of Ron Cey from years ago

Is he a SS on the next level though?

He's a definite 1st rounder but there's no way in hell he plays SS in the majors. Zero chance. You've got to have all-world skill, not just college All-American skill.

You're talking out your arse saying there is zero chance.

He's improved tremendously at SS to a point where he is automatic.. He can definitely stick at SS. Can play 2B too.

He's the best SS ive seen at LSU throwing on the move. You can tell he works his arse off.

He has range and a good arm. That's all that matters at shortstop
