He has range and a good arm. That's all that matters at shortstop

From what I've read is his range is great, his glove is getting better and better and his arm is good. But he doesn't have "elite" arm strength to be what most MLB teams want as their every day SS. That's why most projections have him as a future starting MLB 2B.. Very good Major League arm just not elite like most MLB SS. I've heard comparisons to Padroia and that's s huge complement.

ive seen comparisons to stephen drew. His arm isn't overly strong. But good enough.

shite David Eckstein was a world series winning SS.

Ryan Theriot has TWO world series rings.

Bregman's arm strength is on another planet from those 2 guys.

I agree 100% that he could play SS. Scouts are just saying if he had an elite arm for MLB standards he would be a no doubt SS... They see him as a stud 2B. It's not an insult at all. He is the prototypical 2B. He could be a good SS but an all-star 2B.

I see him at 2b. Wouldn't be shocked if he stayed at SS though.

Well I stand corrected... The scouting reports before the season that mentioned his arm being "not elite" seem to have changed. Most are now saying he has a plus arm now and can handle SS but still think he's better suited for 2B.. Seems he's really impressed scouts with his improvement at SS this season. His work ethic is 2nd to none and we should only expect him to get better and better. I think he'll make all tiger fans proud when his career is all said and done.

He will stay at LSU b/c he loves LSU so much and feels he "owes them" a 4 year stay, and has such deep personal bonds with his team mates and his coaches and he and the team got "unfinished bidness", and plus he can't get enough of the college lifestyle and is in no rush to have to get into that work-a-day grind of the big leagues.. He thinkin' , hey , you work your whole damn life , but ya only go o college once ! Yeah , BMOC time baby! ( Hey - makes sense to me )

he's a first round draft pick lock

Depending on which Baseball rag you prefer or which resident expert you listen to, Bregman is either the 1st or 2nd best position player in the nation. Now there may be some high school kid out there that's deemed the next Nolan Ryan or Willie Mays but it seems almost a guarantee that Bregman will be a top 5 pick and possibly the first pick overall. We're talking millions of reasons to depart LSU on the best of terms. Let's hope he can help his team finish on top before he makes the big pay-day.

His defense this year has been outstanding, 1 error all year, that's unheard of at SS
