Hopefully, the no-shows are the ones who sing the nasty lyrics.

Curious to see how the no-show numbers change after we increase the size of the stadium to 100,000.

More importantly, I want to know how these compare to other SEC schools.

I see the point and I agree, but the students are treated worse than prisoners. It's over an hr hassle just getting into the stadium after being pushed and screamed at by cops, heavily searched for alcohol, all while being herded like cattle. The cops are really on a power trip on gameday.

It's unbelievably inefficient at the gates when the season starts. I got my hands on a friend's student ticket and ID for the North Texas game. Got to the gate at 5:30 to a massive mob of students waiting in line. I got into the stadium at 6:15. 45 minutes later. Although, that is just a small hiccup in an otherwise great day.

It is also a design flaw of the stadium. The smallest gate has to cater to the entire student section. And the band goes in that gate, stopping entrance for a little while.

The amazing thing to me is that people don't at least put their tickets on the ticket exchange or something. Money is money.

So the 2 places in the stadium that are enclosed to keep the elements out and have the option of hassle-free drinking are the most attended? Color me shocked.

I'd like to see the breakdown, I have a hard time believing the students show up less than the gold chairs between the 35's. I know the students are quick to bail, but it's usually a pretty full section to start the game, which is what these numbers are counting.

when will you people quit with this shite. does it make you feel like a better fan? i pay for my tickets. if i dont feel like standing in the rain for 3 or 4 hours, guess what... no show

And to be fair, more UW's and less Towson's will cure a lot of this.

I agree. If I had something come up to where I couldn't go to the game, of course I'm putting my tickets on the market.

I wonder how many of those no shows are people who had a little too much fun tailgating during the day..

Joe Alleva has to be the biggest idiot I have ever heard. Are you kidding me? I know there is a division about this, but I totally think the people who take up for us playing cupcakes are idiots too. One game a year against a North Texas is okay. But do you really think people are not showing up because they have an HD TV? No, the people who buy tickets want to go to the game. They just want good competition. It just does not feel the same when you walk into TS to see us play Florida, Bama, Auburn, Arkansas, SCar, or any number of SEC schools. Everyone's blood is boiling----it's a great feeling. It is just absent when we play a cupcake and being on campus and tailgating is like a tease.

Mr. Alleva-----I have an HD-TV and I am not going to the Towson game (and I have tickets that are going to be wasted----tried to sell them, then give them away, but no takers) because us playing Towson is not entertaining. Not because I have a good TV. I want to be in the stadium watching a good game with the team I love, but it is not worth it to me to see us blow out an FCS school. It is a wasted of a home game and LSU should not be playing these games.

That is why there are no shows. I guarantee you.

Percentage-wise, I think he split the stadium into 4 groups: students, club, suite, and everyone else.

Most conference games are full by the time the game starts or close after. How is it then that we haven't broken 90k? Is there some funny math with the capacity?

While I'd love for us to schedule 3-4 BCS conference opponents for our non-conference games each year, a few games against mid-major FBS/FCS opponents are necessary to fine tune our execution (especially with a young team), especially whenever we have to endure an SEC conference schedule with the likes of Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas and Florida every year.

Although, this year is about as weak of a non-conference schedule as I can recall from recent year.

not a problem, just sell your tickets to someone who wants to go or put them on the ticket exchange

You contradict yourself.

What you mean to say is that you love LSU only when they are playing a team that YOU want them to play.
Gotcha.

I won't even bother to go into the reality of OOC games with you. You wouldn't understand.

Let's say Tiger stadium has 100 sections all the same size of the NEZ sections. You can't believe that there would be 25 people missing from each section?

I will say that the top few rows of the SEZ have never filled to even 90%.

Almost every game there is also a completely empty section or three in the NEZ (234, 235, 236)
