Saturday I'll be taking my father in law to his first LSU game. His wife died this week after a long bout with cancer. Just looking for a place to bring him to see what the game day tailgate experience is like. Willing to donate some money to the tailgate group. Thanks! Geaux Tigers.

No offense intended, but ya'll don't sound like you will be the most cheerful party goers. You may want to wait a while.

Sorry, didn't mean to. Invite them to your tailgate or turn him onto a friend or family member of yours who has one.

What a classless thing to say.

To the OP, i recommend walking around campus and find a fun tailgate that fits the type of people you like and just make friends. Everyone would be happy to have you.

Wait a while? That's stupid. He loves football and beer. Can't think of anything else better to get his mind off things than bringing him to Tiger Stadium. I know some people who will be out there but was just throwing this out there for information on some large tailgate groups.

You know what, if I were going to be there on saturday I would gladly invite them. I hope you never have a bad experience and need to depend on someone like yourself to be a kind and decent human being.

Also to the OP: MOST Tiger fans are very big on hospitality. I would suggest walking from tailgate to tailgate, and being able to mingle with a wide variety of people.

Don't listen to that toolbag. Intended or not, it was a crappy thing to say.

I agree with the gentleman above that said walk around and see what fits you.

I'm not a member of a large tailgate, but I'm sure if you walk around the parade grounds or the old back nine you can find something that fits you and your father-in-law.

Yea I plan to bring him around to grasp how big it is. He's more a Saints fan and I'm sure he'll be impressed at the atmosphere

Good man right here. Honestly, all fan groups have bad people, but if you walk around campus, you will find a ton of people like this who will party with you.

We tailgate directly across from the Kappa Sigma House that is under renovation. You and your FIL are more than welcome to attend. If you dont have tickets you are more than welcome to watch the game there with the rest of Krewe as well.

Thanks. We have tickets. My neighbors have 6-8 tickets and they never use them so they offered them to me. They usually have their motor home out there but they just sold it.

Look up Unsupervised Tailgating and stop by. Always a party and will welcome you and him to the tailgate.
