"I really wasn't in the best situations at times," Jefferson said of 2010. "It's kind of hard to be successful when you're in a third-and-six situation. That puts you in a situation you have to complete a 10-, 12-yard pass. That's kind of hard for any quarterback to do. If you [convert] 20 percent of that, that's almost good."

did he really say this? yeesh.

This seems to be what he was thinking last year

I have nothing bad to say about JJ, as he is only being who he is.

Les Miles is solely to blame for this frick up. He is the one that is basically setting up JJ to fail because it's obvious to everyone outside of Les Miles that JJ is not capable of leading a team like a qb should.

I don't see anyway in hell how a sane person could put this kid in ahead of anyone with this attitude.

His play, demeanor, and comments over the last three years show that he is not ever going to be the guy.

All that said, I hope he proves me wrong, because Les is going to ride him until the wheels fall off

The thing that kills it for me is Jefferson's demeanor.

people we already know Jefferson isn't the sharpest tool in the shed.. if you haven't noticed, he's also a pretty bad public speaker. so, combine the two, you get these quotes. i'm sure once he reads them, he's kicking himself

My favorite quote of the whole article because all the JJ quotes just make me mad... This one made me

Reminds of Aaron Brooks, dude never shows any passion.

Hes definitely not punching himself. He would probably miss.

That may explain the 4 yard passes on third and seven.

Like I said, the only silver lining is the fact that Jefferson will NOT be the starter in 2012.

LSU QB play has not been this bad since the Curley Hallman days of the early 90s when we juggled Ryan Huffman and Melvin Lee at the position.

The Doc is right . Mett looked pretty good to me. This young man needs to see the field. Not sure how they will do this but it will and must happen.

And the payoff of that is...4 of 14 with 2 INTs and a fumble in the spring game.

One minor tweak to your excellent synopsis.

Da frick...In that case, it's always 1st and 16 to Jefferson.

After reading some of his recent quotes, I fully understand why he isn't the right man for the job. This kid is a joke.

Maybe jj should take notes from John brantly

Brantly was 4 for 14 during Fla spring game and when asked about his numbers he rolled his eyes and said obv numbers weren't good

Wait a sec.....4 for 14 with multiple turnovers isn't good? I may need to re-evaluate some things...........
