wouldve taken losses the rest of the season to shitcan Miles.

Then youre not really a lsu fan if youre ever ok with a 1 win season. People like you hated Miles more than you love lsu. Thats pathetic.

Glad everything happened the way it did. This is what's best for LSU in the long run.

I'm not "glad" but I do realize this was basically inevitable if he didn't at least win the SEC West. I wish they would have done it at the end of the year, whether that was last year or end of this year.

I guess I'm "glad" that it's over. I loved Les and have probably been one of his biggest supporters, but I think change was needed. Something hasn't been right with him since that loss to Bama on 1/9. He started playing not to lose, instead of playing to win, in most cases.

Les was a dead man walking at LSU. The Wisky game was all it took but no coach was going to be fired after the first game and we managed to pull a win on the next two (hard to explain firing a guy after any win regardless of how pathetic it looked). Even if the last play had counted and we had won, no way in hell was this Les Miles coached team going to not drop another game this season. Mizzou would have probably beaten us this weekend with him as coach.

Les was not making it to the end of the season after the way the offense looked against Wisky.

Yes. We actually did win. Got to celebrate it like a win. Who cares if they overturned it. We won again by getting less out.

I think if LSU wins that game at the last second in Auburn, then it all comes crashing down this weekend at home in front of a half empty stadium against Mizzou. We would be having the same conversations, just a week later.

It was time.

I never wish a loss upon LSU.

Miles should have been let go last year.

Excellent. Are you ready to have an adult conversation now? Lets try some logic.

If you have a coach thats had several seasons of mediocrity with NFL talent do you keep on keeping on or do you roll the dice and see if the team can do better? Are you ok with having winning seasons without any chance of winning trophies? Do you suffer short term for the possibility of long term success? LSU knows what they had with Miles but the question is, "what could be."?

Some people like to play it safe. Others see possibilities everywhere and are willing to take risks for better results.

I'd rather be 3-1. If Miles had kept winning ugly and lucky, who cares as long as we're winning. But the luck ran out and all that was left was ugly.

I was disappointed with the play being overturned but then I saw the light at the end of the tunnel.

NO. would have rather won the game. Miles would have been gone the next game the way this team has been playing.

Losing somewhat controversially makes a loss a little less bitter, and getting to move on at this point is nice. So, it's about the best way to get Miles gone with a conference loss and yet not feel too horrid.

So: meh.

Top 15 finishes arent mediocre and you clearly have not kept up with our last 2 draft classes.

Youre not a lsu fan if you can stomach a 1 win season.

Its about expectations. If you set the bar high and you dont come close, youre failing. If you set the bar low and you go above, youre winning. Even if that bar is .500. If the Saints won 9 games this season that would be a win. If LSU wins 9 games this season(if Miles was still coach) that would be a fail(again).

You cant have the most players in the NFL currently AND 7 out of the last 9 seasons, an average draft class ranking of around #7 and several in the top 5 and then proceed to finish the year ranked, #20, #23, #14, #13 and passing offenses that are only slightly more pathetic than teams running the triple option. Thats not meeting expectations.

NO. Fans with this attitude should turn in their tickets.

Another reason I don't think we should have fired him now is it lets the goons in Birmingham off the hook. Don't fire Les, and the focus is on whether or not we were hosed.

The real loser is Auburn. They have to keep their shitty coach now.
