Yes, we lost some great Deals talent from last year but there is absolutely NO doubt Aranda can make the youth look seasoned. That'said just what he does. D will be killer again.

You are freakn nuts if you think Aranda didn't have a huge hand in making last years defense top notch. I think we will have some minor growing pains this year but by the end of the year LSU will have a better defense then even last year. The DL is loaded the linebackers have leadership I think people forget about. White, Alexander, and Cory Thompson who I think we play a key roll in this defense on passing downs. These guys know this defense.

The young guys like Taylor, Phillips, and Queen will come along. Then you have Anthony, Martin, Thornton, and Chassion. Some have been here for a year so should know this defense but haven't played. It's a pretty good mix if you ask me. It could be better but I've seen worse here at LSU as well and we didn't have Aranda scheming. I really don't think we fall off much tbh.

Totally agree with you here. The man knows who and how much to play these guys in each situation to build upon their experience. I think our DL gained tremendous experience last year subbing in and holding thier own while in there. Same will happen this year with the linebackers, and DBs.

We also have Logan who hasn't been utilized yet. Shelvin if he gets his shite together will play some and be ready to play a huge roll next year. These guys know what they are doing. Next years D is going to be special. The year after that I think we win a championship if our young QBs come along which I suspect will happen. I think we make the playoffs even if our QBs are just decent. If they perform at a high level with that defense we will dominate.

LSU just needs to keep building and this thing WILL come together. These coaches know how to build much better then the last regime IMO. We coming boys!!! HTTDB

There's always one of you fools bringing up the damn spring game every year... You do realize that's not much like a real game, right?

Uhh actually it was the exact opposite if you really watched the game. The first team D absolutely shut down the first team O. They couldn't do shite. I almost felt sorry for the first team O having to go against the first team D.
