I can only tell you why LSU will win the SEC.

So here are the reasons:

Experienced balance on both sides of the ball

Leonard Fournette

New defensive coaching blood

Exacting revenge

I agree with him. The SEC is ripe for the taking and we had our bad year last season.

I think we have a good shot. Our only real missing piece is QB and DE but Harris and coach O should fix that. I have a really good feeling about next year

QB position lines out LSU has a damn good shot...looks like Harris will probably start the season against McNeese and should have no problem there that will give him the opportunity against Miss St...he does well then its his position for the season...

Harris is going to be awesome IMO
a full month of fall practice with the 1s is going to serve him well

Normally I would say you can't win the SEC without a quarterback, but Auburn and bama have done it recently.

We won the SEC with Lee and Jefferson in one of the most challenging schedules including the SEC championship

We have shown we can

I'd feel better if Higgins was based about 500 miles away. This is a typical CYA home-boy article and for that reason, I discount it heavily.

It wouldn't matter who wrote it, you'd still discount it heavily. Don't lie.

On to the topic, I have faith in Harris. From the look of things, we'll be spreading it out a bit and adding in a lot more short, quick passes that our athletes can take and turn up field on. I can't wait to see Fournette and Guice tear it up this year in the run game as well. Add in Donte Jackson on jet sweeps and jet sweep fakes, and this is going to be a lot of fun.

Coach O and Steele should be able to create a pass rush that was sorely lacking. One thing I'm glad about, is that LSU doesn't face an dual threat QBs this year (ETA: outside of Prescott week 2). More mobile guys, but pocket guys. The secondary has to do it themselves the past 2 years, but now we should get help against the passer that will make us even more effective.

LSU is going to be Ohio State 2014. Ohio State was seen as a year away after Miller got hurt prior to the season. I think LSU strikes gold with Harris the same way OSU did with Barrett.

Games two and three will determine how well we fare against dual threat qbs...........

Well shite i forgot Dak, but Johnson isn't dual threat. He's a mobile pocket passer similar to Jamarcus. I mean he can run, but I don't think he will run much and I don't think they'll run him much.

We'll just have to find out. Remember they nearly lost to Penn St and lost to Virginia Tech. They also struggled with Navy in game one, and the final quarter of the regular season.

11/8 close game with MSU
11/15 close game with Minnesota (7 point win)
11/22 they were winning by only 1 going into the 4th quarter with Indiana, before winning by 15
11/29 a TD game with Michigan until 5 minutes left in the game

Not like Marshall did, correct... That AU game stil worries me..ALOT.... They are gonna be able to score on us... I am not sure we can win a shotout with them... The key to this game is ball control and grinding it out.. LSU should win a 17-13 type game but not A 35-31 type game. And I wonder how Harris [if he is starting] will react to playing the team that crushed him last year......

I have it as a toss up. Similar to the 2010 game something like 20-23 or 14-21. The key to that game will be, can we disrupt Johnson? I saw us shut down Cooper last year even with Collins having a bad game. I remember Robinson shut down Evans the year prior, so I'm not too worried about Duke. We need to confuse Johnson and get after him with a pass rush. This is the first time he'll face a top level secondary as well.

LSU should be able to run on Auburn and keep it out of their hands. Control the clock and Harris doesn't make any huge mistakes.

I think Harris(like you said, if starting) will want to go out and prove himself against Auburn. The crowd will be much more friendly, not a top 5 team(at the time) on the road.

I just hope they let him sling it a little bit against the scrubs early in the season.

Did you forget about JJ? Jennings will take over and we will fall short to strong teams. But it's gonna be fun watching until then!
