Yall think he knew about Chavis and kept it hush hush and broke Miles Circle of trust?

He knew. The part where he signed his contract extension a week or so before his friend Chavis left was just a ploy.

"Yea, Chavis, let me sign this contract then you bolt to the Aggies and leave me locked in at LSU."

It was Chavis' and brick's job to recruit dline and LB. We had ONE commitment, that's not good! It was time to move on imo.

was he ever really a DC candidate?

This is what I am wondering as well. We were still hearing about new names a day before they announced it was Steele. I think it was bogus crap and people just putting names out there.

Brick was much the same as Stud was on the OLine. At a certain point he stopped coaching up players and just relied on their talent. He's definitely a Les Miles disciple.

Yeah, it's odd, Brick goes from DC candidate to being demoted?

Or Brick was never really a candidate. Ever thought of that?

Good point, I believe this falls under the same category as Corey Raymond being a target of tam and bama. Somebody making shite up.

Why would the SID not clarify Miles intern comment if it were not intentional? Perhaps say Miles meant administrative role. Not saying it was intentional just that a quick release could clear it up.

I'm pretty sure they did. One of the 104.9 guys was going on about it and then later he said something along the lines of "we're hearing from LSU that administrative intern is the proper term under the rules."

Not saying he didn't want to coach at LSU fool.........but I am saying he may have knew Chavis's intentions.

Pretty sure miles meant an interim position, not an intern position

Maybe he did and it was another misspeak. But let there be no doubt that he clearly, clearly, said "intern."
