next year. Shepard is going to be an x-factor with the ball in his hands and Jefferson is the man to get him the ball.

I'll hang up and listen.

And LaFell. And Tolliver. And Jackson. And Dixon. And maybe even Holliday. Could be a real 3-ring circus.

Don't forget Benton. I think he'll be the surprise of the team, if not the SEC.

It would be a mistake to not have RS touch the ball next year, and the best way to do that would be to have someone throwing it/handing it off to him. Jefferson is light years ahead of Shepard in the passing game and also has proven to be nimble enough to escape pressure when needed. To me, its a no-brainer that Shep plays a WR/slot back role and plays as a true fresh. I think Jefferson has great potential at QB.

How is that going to play out with Shep is a quarterback and all the coaches in the game last night (including Tubby)were all saying what a
great QB LSU was getting. Looks like a battle
on the horizon.

Yeah, he won all these awards for his qb play, i don't think he settles for another position. That is like tebow going to florida then settling on playing fullback.

Lee is just an injury away from being our starter next year, and I think he has a chance to win the starting position in the Spring or Summer.

We will need all all our QBs to be ready to play next year.

"lafell (one more year and gone), t. tolliver (probably only one more year then pro) , c. tolliver, j. taylor (not an SEC caliber WR), j. mitchell (gone to baseball), c. mitchell (just a guy), d. peterson (may end up being the best of the bunch), r. dixon (special teams), t. molten (only a freshmen), and possible c benton and r. randle."

we will know alot after spring

Jeffersons 2nd half struggles against Arkansas and tech still worry me some, but there is alot of potential for LSU @ qb

this battle is far from settled. i don't think RS has earned his time yet and i think JJ still has a way to go to

until JJ goes through some adversity and RS realizes he won't win the starting qb job as a true frosh and is forced to come to grips with reality, i think it is hard to see how tell reaction will effect their play on the field

Getting to play QB was a big selling point for RS...I agree that he will need time to polish up a bit but it seems to me that a nice number of people do not think he will be fit to lead an LSU offense after watching him in a HIGH SCHOOL ALL STAR GAME. If he's not ready then yes use him as necessary Russell is the type of kid to do what is necessary for his team. BUt for me, here's to RS at the helm for many years to come

How good will our OL be? Will they be able to protect whoever plays QB?
