Peace people. You know, what two thirds of you say to the people you shake hands with at Mass on Sundays.
Some of you are excited a Louisiana boy gets his shot. He brings passion, fire, and we have a coach that considers LSU his dream job - which feels good. He coached at Mississippi where he had to build something and failed. But he has shown twice that if he doesn't have to start at square one (which he doesn't at LSU) he can be ok. With our resources and commitment to winning, he will have every chance to succeed. Cool.
Some of you are angry that LSU didn't act like the program it has become and go get who they wanted. You feel like they settled on the easy option, which is frustrating considering the time and resources at their disposal during this process. You think Joe should go, because he bungled this whole thing. We are going backwards as a program to entrust it with a hire from within that has no coordinator experience and failed previously. Cool.
See, people getting excited about CEO and wanting to see what a native son can do with the program aren't hurting anything. And people wanting Joe to go and dreading a potential drop in the prestige of LSU football long term aren't hurting anything either. Heck, I got one foot in each of these kiddie pools to be honest. Let's just calm the frick down and recognize some are optimistic and others are pessimistic - it ain't the end of the world. It's just a message board.
Give peace a chance. (Yeah I did.)

Me thinks that I and many others will not read all that. Good job of wasting your time thinking that you made a meaningful thread.

Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans

I'm beginning to wonder if the escalated angst (on all sides) has less to do with the HC change, and more to do with the season nearing its end.

IMAGINE posts like this being unnecessary.

How about Lennon's IMAGINE
"Imagine there no nega-posters" Everyone, sing along.

At least you're a good sport about it. Sometimes it takes years to learn how to compose non-shitty threads & posts. I'm close, but still not there yet.
