Well I'm glad you don't make the decisions. What has Les done to deserve any more chances? In fact, what employee would be able to keep their job after refusing to make changes required for success?

For starters I am still convinced that he managed to lead LSU to a miraculous win last night that was stolen.

1) 0:00 before the snap

2) If his offense were not its usual inept self in that game, he would not have needed an arse-saving miracle to beat a bad team 19-18.

I bet the opposite happens. We didn't look real inspired after the Wisconsin loss. Coach O will get them more fired up than Les could.

I understand everything leading up to the last play and the mistakes made earlier.

But the clock was started too early; we snapped it as soon as the ref was out of the way; you can't start the clock until the official has gotten out of the way of the play.

It seemed like a miraculous win because at first we won even though the clock clearly read 00:00 when we got the play off. Replay took the miracle away. Also, our WR on the far left was not set before the play started, so that should have been a penalty.

No, that did not happen. I have seen the replay 10 times. There was no official in the way. They took too much time to snap the ball.

Todd McClure also pointed out on postgame radio that LSU should also have been called for another illegal shift (if they had gotten the play off in time), because they once again had players not completely set.

I really guess some people's perspectives are always different from others, even if they're mind blowingly wrong.

People's perspectives can be very different, which is why I wanted to put this out there. There has been near-universal approval of the firing on here, so I thought the alternate view was needed.

I think the administration actually did him a favor. They saw after last night that this team would struggle to have a winning record. His legacy would be severely tarnished if this team went 4-8 under him.

Doing it like the did, the Administration will take a lot of the blame for him being fired. Coaching a team with 18 returning starters to a 4-8 schedule would fall solely on the shoulders of Les Miles.

It's not really needed.

You are again making excuses for him.

The fact remains, we shouldn't even be in that position to begin with.. it's a common negative trend going on.. and change is needed. It's not getting any better..

That's nice we had an opportunity to win.. but we should not be in such a struggle.. we should be able to score a TD in the 4th this season.. yet we haven't.. it shouldn't come down to this versus inferior teams.. It's one thing if it was some other teams.. we have yet to even get to the meat of our schedule..

Don't think you're wrong OP. If we weren't gonna give him the full season to try again, why back out of the firing last year? Should have committed to it at the end of last season or to another full year, either one.

Les was given another year to make changes to the offense and overall strategy. He didn't.

It was a huge FU to the admin and fan base because he thought his way was the only way.

I'm sure alleva had had enough. So have I.

Uh...have they been playing hard this season? I must have missed those games.

The money people made a 13 million dollar decision and it was the right decision.

It was planned in advanced and executed as well as Order 66.

You have to salvage the recruiting class and lock up your next coach. Do you not remember what happened with Saban leaving on Christmas day and the terrible recruiting class that year due to the late change?

Made zero sense to keep him. He knew they wanted change but he got a pass last nov due to his success. Ed is a proven interim HC who did well at USC a program in turmoil and has some Hc experience as well. They are gonna be on the forefront of the coaching search. Why prolong the inevidble?

I think it was bad idea to get rid of Miles four games into a season after eleven years. You let him finish out the season, and if we get trounced then you do it as soon as the final game ends.

If I posted more I'd probably be considered a pumper...and even I down voted you.
