Or even if it's one score but we aren't really pressed in the second half what will your assessment be?

I think the naysayers will say we still haven't beaten anyone (or say it was against a depleted gator team).

At this point I feel like this team could go either the route of finishing really strong or dropping 2-3 down the stretch. But if we win this one in the above fashion my assessment will be that this team is likely to make it to Atlanta.

This may be one of those teams that is not 2011 good but possibly 2007 good. The lack of a really dominant team in cfb helps our chances to win it all if we get in the playoff. I'll be curious to see how this team responds if it is behind by a score or two in the second half.

Naysayers gonna say nay. If we're undefeated this time next month and not in the top four, I might be concerned then.

Let 'em talk.

2003, 2007, 2011...

This is serious business.

This team isn't 2007 good. Despite the 2 losses, 2007 was extremely well-rounded. Didn't blow the doors off in any facet of the game but were well above average at everything.

This team seems more 2010 to me. Young, hungry, and full of potential. We could put it all together and make a title run but I don't think we do. Next year? Oh hell yes. A year of Steele and O under the belt, an "I should be playing with the big boys" Fournette, and (hopefully) a well-rounded and adjusted Harris.

Next year we will be breaking in three new starters on the oline potentially and have huge question marks at linebacker. This is the year

Yeah I agree. I'm tired of the "next year" mindset. This team isn't as dominant as teams we've had in the past, but no one in cfb is. I think this team is good enough. I'm not completely sold yet, but I think we are.

I imagine we lose Beckwith next year and that will be a huge loss.

I feel like this team is good enough to keep building leads and then cruising to the end of games. Upcoming teams will be tough, but if we beat this Florida team solidly I will be more convinced. The D isn't suffocating style dominant, but I mean we are always playing subs and young guys for large portions of the game. Plus our most experienced db has been out all year.

Harris is progressing well enough. Special teams could be the undoing, but this team may just be good enough that it won't matter.

For the record, I think we win this game by 2 or more scores.

Well 2011 and 2007 were both undefeated in regular season regulation. No matter how they do it, if 2015 can go undefeated in regulation regular season they will be up there with 07 & 11 but we will all think differently of them bc of the run heavy O and "perceived" one dimensional play.

I think we should just take it one game at a time and let the chips fall where they may

I totally agree. This is the first tiger team that is truly hard to get a solid read on though.

How about you LSU fans just stay focused on the game you're about to play. Heaven help that LSU team if the players or coaches are as worried about as much trivial stuff as the fans are. If they are, LSU will drop at least three games this year. Never seen a fan base with such a good team, that obsesses about everything but the damn game that's about to be played.

Not all, but a somewhat vocal minority of UF fans got this way during the Spurrier years. It lessens the joy in all of this.

Just as Spurrier was a winner at UF and funny and great to have around, you guys have a good team, a good coach that says whacky things and eats grass and will one day depart the SEC and will be fondly remembered. Enjoy all this while it lasts and get focused on trying to kick the crap out of UF. I assure you, after the Muschamp years, no one at UF is worried about the nonsense. Everyone is enjoying this and just focusing on trying to beat the hell out of LSU tomorrow.

Man, thanks for coming over to our board and educating me and dropping some old fashioned knowledge on us all.

The only recommendation I can give you is to GFY and I hope you have a miserable time watching us go in dry on your punk arse team. You'll be a force in a couple years, but for now this is all payback for the spurrier years. Take your arse beating and your comments and go to the jorts store where maybe they will hold enough value for you to exchange them for a new pair or perhaps a gold chain.

I hope somehow we both make it to Atlanta so we can beat your arse twice.

You are on an opponent's message board (almost a rival) and trying to lecture them on how to act.

Heaven help you

I negate those who say we haven't played anyone. Miss St isn't as talented as they were last year, but they still are middle of the pact. It's a decent win. Auburn picked up a solid road win. And will still probably finish 7-5 with a talented squad who will be a contender next year.

The Syracuse win will still look good and I'll keep saying it. They are a power 5 team with some pretty solid wins. Could end 7-5, 8-4.

I really believe UF is hyped up too much. Kinda like we were last year at the beginning. That Kentucky win is questionable depending on the rest of their run. Tennessee is a dumpster fire. And then a bunch of rent a wins minus one quality win with a one dimensional offense that plays right into their strengths. Without Grier, UF on offense is going to look like LSU O 2014 minus fournette. I'll reserve my judgement till the BAMA game. But it won't be the end all. I'm still impressed already. It's obvious we haven't exposed everything we have.

Bama has the best front seven in the country since 2011. I can measure our team versus that D. Discount their offense versus our defense. It will tell a lot about our team. No one, not even OM presents the challenge to our team like they do. Our offense versus their talented defense. And their run game versus our improved but shaky D line.

Lol. Next year we are better. Stop with the this year crap.
Yea we are talented this year as well. But don't say next year won't be the better team.
Whole offense is back.
Lose 2 OL. Maybe 3. And have studs and freshman that will plug in

DBU and lines will be legit.
lb only question and beckwith isn't a lock to go

This team reminds me of the 2007 squad in the way they weren't perfect, but still ended up winning it all. This year, across all football, there's been no dominant clear team. Everyone is going to end up with a loss here or there. Just depends on where our cards fall. We may not be perfect but we may get a chance. The top 6 teams in the country are all about equal and if you played the games several times the outcome would be different every time.

Next year sets up well with us in many regards, but it also sets up nicely for several other teams. I would rather take our team now that is flawed against other flawed teams than a stronger team against more consistent and talented teams.

I agree - enjoy the team - expect them to win - be a fan

It's 5am brewing coffee and getting ready for game-day

Michigan vs MSU - can't wait to watch it
Bama at aTm - can't wait - pulling for - anyone playing Bama
Lsu vs Gators

Lsu will run the ball - but folk will talk more about
our QB play after this game - in a good way

I don't think this team really looks like any Lsu team I have seen because of LF7. We have had one turn over all
season and rush the ball awesome and slow the rush on D.

Area of concerns for this team to do better:

- ST play must get better starting today - period

- any one other than a WR catching the ball

- break down on D in 2nd 1/2 - I don't get it

- the way we rush the ball - finish the game strong

This LSU team can beat anybody. They could lose a couple, but there isn't a team out there they can't beat.
