It depends on how the wins go, and how MSU and Auburn look in their other games, especially on defense. If we put 35+ on both you would have people point to how bad Auburn's defense was last year and how much MSU lost on defense from last year. If we hold both to 17 or fewer points AND score over 35 in both then you could see LSU jump ahead of the rest of the SEC teams to number 3 - 5. that probably won't happen, but I won't be complaining if it does!

he threw Brandon Harris into the worst situation last year possible. On the road against Auburn. then didn't play him again. He killed his mojo, if he had any.

If we start 3-0, I see us around 6th or so. Cracking the top 5 isn't completely out of the question.

Voters are very used to listing LSU in their polls, and 3-0 would mean we would have already beat 2 teams we lost to last season; plus Auburn would be a big win.

It's similar to the way Boise or TCU would skyrocket in the polls every season, so would LSU if there's signs of life.

If Harris/offense puts up really big numbers in all 3 games, I think the pundits will recognize the potential for this team to run the table or maybe lose 1 game....2 worst case scenario. They'd have to respect the vast improvement in the QB play and rank us accordingly, since many believe this is our only glaring weakness.

Frankly, if Harris puts up big numbers, I can see LSU jumping up into the top 5 after week 3. I think just average QB play makes us capable of beating anyone on the schedule

anywhere from 4th to 7th....depending on how we look. If we soundly beat both Miss State and Auburn.....they will obviously shoot up in the polls.....but honestly...not a big deal. Have no more than one loss and win the conference and they in.

Actually I would not have done it for his initial post or the one after it. Would've just moved on. It was the one I quoted where he outed himself as either just a troll or an alter, after attempting to invoke a negative response.

But it was most definitely not for his initial opinion or the way he stated it.

our course when i say "no way we go 3-0" clearly there is a chance, but in my mind there is no way.

So basically you're saying that you are in fact a dumbass. Congrats?

Bump. Nice guesses, guys.

And to those that said there'd be no way we could do 3-0.

Considering...... we lost to all 3 teams the last time we played them I think 3-0 with 2 of 3 away from home would have been a stretch. Of course, no one had any idea McNeese State would have been cancelled either. Having to play Miss. State w no "warm up" game made it even more special - and more difficult IMHO. Tigers are on track to have an extra special championship run in 2015.
The schedule is aligned nicely as well now that we have gone through the initial gauntlet and survived/thrived. If we can keep the "W's" rolling through the next 1/3 of the season and get better and better we'll be poised for a championship run down the stretch against remaining SEC West teams on the schedule. Similar to 2011: One at a time. NEXT!
