If we score 5 touchdowns, can we be defeated?

We scored 5 touchdowns on offense Saturday night. If we do that every game, is there another team in the country that can defeat us?

I think our defense is just too good-even if we were playing a juggernaut like USC.

Should our goal be 4-5 touchdowns on offense, then let the defense strangle the life out of the opposing team?

If another team scores 5 TD's and 1 FG I think they would win on us.

edit: Or if they made a 2pt. conversion and we only kicked extra pts they would win us.

Washington is not that good. I don't expect to score that much every week. But if we did, we would win every week.

Thanks for flaming my post. It's indication that the rantards are alive.

My question was not related to what quantity it would take to beat us, but what type of quality would be necessary to accomplish the feat of scoring 5 touchdowns and a field goal.

Is there a team good enough to do it?

All threads like this are irrelevant the one team that we have to look out for is Bama. If we play defense like we have so far and the running game continues then no one will be able to hang with us for 4 quarters.

Les plans to score 41 every game, so it'll be damn hard to beat the Tigers.

This has obviously been his goal going back to last season:

Thou shall score 41 points, no more, no less. Having scored 40, thou shall kick the point after to make 41. Having scored 39, thou shall go for 2.

No team can put 35 points on this team. 1 the defense wouldn't allow it. 2 the offense wouldn't give them the time to do so.

That should win us every game, but some games develop into shootouts inexplicably.

See Ole Miss game from a couple years ago.
