I've always blamed Odell for that loss, which might be unfair.

Blaming a loss on one player is inherently unfair and irrational. So, yeah. Our defense completely shite the bed.

Yeah, since you're always so rational in your thinking

Yeah, it's going to be interesting on the rant this year. I think the expectations for the current qbs won't be met.

No one in their right mind is expecting Harris or Jennings to be world-killers this year. They both have loads of potential, though. And coupled with a beast OL and studly RBs, I think either one or a combination of the two could more than get the job done for us this year. People need to remember that this isn't the Crowton/Studrawa show any more. Yes, there will be growing pains, but Cameron is going to make sure theses guys are prepared.

Yep. Running game will be stellar but I think the passing game will look like 2010. Hopefully both QB's will get enough experience to shine next year.

Watching the Tennessee/Green Bay game, they said Mett was LSU's first back to back 2500 yard plus passer in history. Russel got close in 2005.

"About the same. We have no WRs. Pretty sure outside QB that's going to be the area that struggles most on this team. I don't see anyone in our group looking to set the world on fire. Maybe Quinn/Dupre in a few years. Will probably struggle with separation against good defenses."

This is an absurd statement!

I'd be worried about having to forfeit all the games for using an NFL player.

Doesn't matter - he's in the NFL now and has been coached and trained by professionals

He would not have had this if he were coming back though.

Was he this way last year??? NO.

Even if we had Hill and Landry and Odell back with Mett, I guess you don't understand how many times the ball has to bounce the right way to win a NC.

Handed him the ball with the Georgia game on the line, and he didn't deliver.

Against Clemson, if he completes a long handoff we win. He didn't.

He single-handedly lost the Ole Miss game.

He failed at the end of last year's Arky game, and would have lost it, but Jarvis and AJ rescued him in extraordiary fashion.

I admire him, but I won't miss him. He was a tough kid who would stand tall and take licks; he had an NFL arm; and he put the Georgia low-character stuff in the past and proved to be a good representative. But he was immobile; had poor touch on deep balls; and he didn't deliver often enough in clutch times.

I don't blame him for losses, but I also had the feeling he didn't deliver during crunch time.

We have to remember what Les did with two mediocre quarter backs (Jefferson/Lee) and had arguably the best regular season in NCAAF history. I believe we have better talent at QB, but not the experience. A QB with the ability to run helps to bring in an inexperienced QB a bit easier. Look for a two QB system to begin the season.

So just because Mett was a 5th round pick means he'd take us to the championship? A whole lot of QBs get picked in the NFL draft. Doesn't mean they're all great players.

You're putting WAY too much emphasis on this whole "Mett is an NFL QB" angle.
