Etling is a big part of why we won yesterday. Dont really understand the timing of this post.
tonight and tomorrow will be the "fire Canada" and "all this motion does is wear us out" posts.

Then after that, posts attacking posters for saying positive things (even if observed and factual) blaming them for both the hiring and retaining of CEO (and Alleva) and calling them 'bad fans' for wanting a win.

Have you considered the damage to Tiger football, that you profess to love, with constantly puking O-hate everywhere?

Having a poor head coach does 100x damage to Tiger football than fans on a message board. My god, the idiocy of some people.

We brought in a QB that had 0 snaps all season and ran a QB keeper.

It was the least deceptive play I've ever seen

I like Etling. I just wish he would stop the double pump before he releases the ball. It seems to me that he is more accurate and gets a little more zip on the ball when he just slings it.

is that all you remember about our passing game yesterday? hell man, Etling made some damn clutch throws that were spot on. and yes, he made some bone headed plays but he outplayed Stidwell (the supposed stud).

my biggest concern is that Etling seems to stare down his #1 WR; Bama will make him pay for that.

Not only did you word this like a total a-hole, but given Etling's performance yesterday the timing of your ridiculously stupid OP is one of the most idiotic things I've ever seen on here. Geez man. Just STFU!!!

I understand your point, but the fact is that we HAVE to throw. If teams are selling out to stop the run and forcing our hand, taking away the "threat" to throw will only allow the defense to further sell out and stop the run. The wildcat formation works if run as a surprise or if you have a mobile QB who can also be a threat to throw.

Not to look too far ahead, but at the very least, we need to practice against a mobile QB like Mond @ A&M. You know he is going to run & run, yet Florida (or maybe their coaches) didn't have a plan to stop him.

Do yourself a favor, don't ever try to become an offensive coordinator because you will become a laughing stock! Whoo!

I probably should have worded the OP differently after an awesome win lol (A little too much of a dick). I was was just throwing the idea out there that I think a read option package should be made with gage, not to totally replace the the QB we have now unless it proves more effective. With the goal to get an offensive spark when needed and to improve red zone efficiency.

I think we need things like a consistent underneath WR who can get open on short to mid third downs and more shotgun sets to open up lanes for the running game more than a running QB package. The offensive identity is developing and if those key pieces evolve i think the QB questions will start to go away. In other words if the offense starts to operate at optimum level with this group we won't need any gimmicks like that.

Etling's physical limitations aren't going to change, he is what he is. But that can be overcome somewhat if he can elevate the mental part of the game. He's still making bad reads and he's fortunate Florida and Auburn DB's can't catch. He's hit them in the hands 4 times last 2 games and hasn't gotten burned somehow. And he has to progress in his reads. Throwing to Sullivan(Player 2) makes no sense when Guice is all alone and ready to roll(Player 3)

why wouldn't he throw to Sullivan there? He was 8 yards father down field and wide open. Blaming Etling for his WR not even looking for the ball is crazy. The Auburn play where the DB dropped the ball Gage fell down. I don't get this constant attack on Etling when most of the time he's doing everything he can while dealing with an Oline who can't block WRs that drop balls fall down run the wrong route or don't even look for the ball. And I'm guessing you're referring to arm strength when you're talking about limitations but him having a weak arm is an LSU fan myth and has zero truth to it. He was a 4 star recruit and any scouting report or recruiting report you read on Etling says he has above avg to strong arm strength. Stop being lazy and blaming the QB when everything around him has been chaotic at best.

Hey Earl you are a certified gay idiot. Indeed, you gay retards all alleged that O and his coaching staff are incompetent because we lost games to Moo State and to Troy. However, in both games we had key players injured that couldn't play and to top it off, we didn't have any depth to adequately replace those injured key players thanks to your Idol and former gay partner in crime O's predecessor Les Miles.

Meanwhile, instead of being honest and blaming those reasons for the legitimate reason we lost those two games, you gay O haters alleged that O and his coaching staff were incompetent and unfit to be the head coach at LSU.

Nevertheless, the instant those injured players returned back to playing, LSU beat a top 20 and a top 10 team in back to back weeks. Proving once and for all that O and his coaching staff are not incompetent and unfit as you gay retards had all falsely alleged. You owe O and his coaching staff a huge apology.
