Last year we lost damn near our whole batting order. I still think we were one of the best teams in the nation even though we didn't make it out of supers. What do you guys think?

Focus on getting to Omaha before thinking of winning it all.

Hitting, same as every other year, we won't hit at the end of the year.

No. I still think we are hurt with relief pitchers outside of Newman

It's the same thing as always. Do we have enough solid pitching depth past the first two starters to win it al? It's been no lately

As long as CPM doesn't make stupid mistakes like leaving pitchers in there too long ( which he has a bad habit of doing) I believe this could be the year !!

Next year will be WAY worse and there's no telling when we'd get things built back up.

Pitchers gone after this year:

Lange
Poche
Newman
Keil
Reynolds
Strall
Cartright (maybe. I think he was awarded a medical last year but he's technically a senior.

We have some very dynamic arms in the upcoming recruiting class, but the problem is that MLB agrees and a lot of them are big draft risks.

We have a JUCO commit that hits triple digits. Shortly after he committed he was named the top JUCO draft prospect.

Enlow will be first or second round. Storz will probably be top 5 rounds. Vietmeier, Keller, McCabe are also draft risks.

If we can't outhit teams in Omaha then we won't win. When the games matter the most, Paul Mainieri over coaches with his hit and runs and more times than not we take ourselves out of scoring threats.

Bingo! We can always work through hitting issues.... bullpen will be exposed in the regionals and on.
