I'm not writing off this year. I'm more saying people need to chill out when our bats struggle in a road SEC series. Everyone is melting because we lost to Kentucky. You are right, this is the year to maximize pitching. But, we have a ton of young bats in the line up. It is expected for them to struggle at times. Has the pitching been disappointing at times, yes.

Paul Mainieri needs to stop recruiting so many Punch and Judy Hitters and Stop Bunting in the first 3 Innings of the game, Bring Back The Power Game.

I said it last week and ill say it again this week .......... When the coach is soft so will his team be soft. Its crunch time and were not getting better were leveling off ........ not a good combination for ending strong. So to all you fans that are ok with mediocrity, you must be happy campers..... since when is not going to Omaha and not performing OK ........... Why just because we get there?

What bunting.... except for an occasional successful bunt team members don't square around and know how to bunt!And with our speed to first base we could avoid many double plays( like the 3 double plays that kentucky turned in one game) while moving people into scoring position.
As for Power the bat and ball has pretty much changed that unless wind is blowing out( kentucky had many wind driven homers while we were grounding out in double plays in game 1)
