If LSU keeps its recruits, LSU will be set for an excellent near-term future.

Recruiting Trend: Historic and a Potential #1 Class
2012 . 14
2013 . . 6
2014 . . 2
2015 . . 5 (Huge O-Line Haul Last Year
2016 . . 2 (Strong Potential for Huge D-Line and LB Haul This Year)

Saban had two consecutive Top 5 Classes in 2003 (#3) and 2004 (#5).
Miles tied that with two consecutive Top 5 Classes in 2014 (#2) and 2015 (#5).
2016 could be the first time that LSU has had three consecutive Top 5 Classes, and it could be a #1 class.

It is rational to expect the 2016 recruiting class to set LSU up for an excellent future.

I agree. This class could be one of the best ever at LSU and if Miles had lost his job we don't know what would have happened.

My concern is that it is a lot harder for the "Bigs" like OL/DT and a lesser extent LB/DE to transition immediately from HS to CFB bc of the strength/power needed at those spots.

Usually won't get much faster after 18 but 18-22 yrs there is typically are very steep increase in strength.

Hate to be a Debbie but this class is gonna get poached 1 by 1 for obvious reasons. I hope we can hang on to em, but don't be surprised if these kids are being sold on Miles being gone after next year.

Going to come into play with next year's class more than the current one.

TAMU is currently targeting Greedy. Jacoby decommitt, Franks decommitt, Lewis is visiting TAMU.

not saying the sky is falling, but this negative pub is not helping anyone except the competition.

You can bring in the #1 class every year but if you don't put them in positions to win they wont. Did you see what teams were ranked above us in the last poll?! Some of those teams may not even be in the top 50 of recruiting classes.

Hell ESPN or any sports radio in the country too. It'll die down now, but the last 2-3 weeks has been awful publicity.

The MOST players in the NFL since 2008 and what do we have to show for it AT LSU? I wish the players the best in the NFL, but damnit, I am so tired of this talent underachieving and being coached by a mediocre head coach to the point of losing 3-5 games a season almost yearly!

Don't try and bullshite me.

quote:

TAMU is currently targeting Greedy.
Sumlin is stability? TAMU has been targeting Greedy all season without success.

quote:

Jacoby decommitt
Happened before the announcement. He might actually come back now.

quote:

Franks decommitt
Happened before the announcement. Other coaching changes and our newly found QB opening is likely to create opportunities.

quote:

Lewis is visiting TAMU.
Sumlin is stability? TAMU has been targeting Lewis all season without success.

Really?!?! What is this:

I agree completely. However, this too shall pass. Moreover, some of these guys want to play for LSU and/or know that if Miles gets replaced, it will be A quality coach who will take his place.
