Per the SEC Rant's Latarian, Jefferson's reinstatement press conference will be held today, at 4.

It would cause such a fricking ande shitstorm that I am not sure his superiors would look well upon it. He's forced this kid down our throats for awhile, for whatever reasons (i.e. equal opportunity, bleeding heart liberal, etc.). The kid may be an ok kid, but he is simply not an SEC level QB, and he sure as hell won't be NFL calibar.

This will tell the true mentality of Jefferson. If he is a leader and puts his team first he will come back and cheer his team on with Lee as the starter. Now if he is just out for himself he will come back and stir up trouble and the team will suffer.

For that matter, he shouldn't be taking reps from Mettenberger.

JJ has mastered the broken play scramble, for sure.

I'm not afraid of Miles starting JJ over Lee, even he's not that crazy. What I'm afraid of is going back to that two QB system. A QB like Lee needs to get in a rhythm to play at his best. If the two QB system comes back, it will ruin what LSU has going on offense, in my opinion.

If it's anything like the past, everytime he got pulled he stood on the sidelines and sulked and pouted like a little spoiled bitch. I don't see him doing anything different. If the kid is truly cognitively able, he needs to focus on getting a college degree while he can. Otherwise, our taxes will be paying for him as well.

I have heard several sources say that JJ will take several series this weekend in the second quarter. My sources are rock solid.

Interesting... considering that it's already mid week and HE'S NOT EVEN ON THE TEAM!

This team doesn't need Jefferson. They've played better than they have in years without him. Why bring him back so soon? That would only stifle the development of Mett, you know, the QB that will actually have to play next season.

Are people seriously this stupid? I mean, seriously?

Of course he is. I think people have a misconception on what is an SEC QB. Peyton Manning is the exception, not the rule.

That said, Lee is playing his balls off and there is zero chance Jefferson starts unless Lee is injured. And with as much practice as he's missed, I'd imagine Mett would start over JJ if Lee gets hurt. For at least the next couple of weeks.

Because he didn't likely do anything to be removed from the team. Not that difficult to understand.

"CLM has done some inexplicable things while at LSU, but I do not feature him yanking Mr. Lee in favor of Mr. Jefferson as things stand now. It would be an act of insanity."

The unsettling thing is that deep down you know that is exactly what he would prefer to do.
