If Les is willing, is it time to revamp the offensive system?

The up tempo, spread out the defense type systems, ala Oregon, aTm and others, works and is exciting to watch. There are many variations and it doesn't mean abandoning the running game. Even some NFL teams are incorporating this into their schemes.

With next season being Mett's last, and the playoff era of college football beginning the following season, it's now or never.

ETA: aTm proved it can work in the SEC, and they have an average D.

It's time for a change offensively, but nothing will. Les doesn't appear to think there's a problem.

The season is never over. If you make a change, you do it now.

With Mett being a senior this next season, Les isnt going to make a drastic change. He will need a two dimensional QB to run the type of offenses you suggest

No, the offense is fine. Just need more wanting to execute.

I don't know what's funnier, your complete ignorance of football or the thought of Mett running.

That would be the hardest of the hard choices when making a change. But, if it makes the team better....

No. What's ignorant is embracing what we have now on offense.

Do either of the 2 teams playing for the BCSC play that style?

Did either of the 2 teams who played for the 2011 title play that style?

Do you see Mett playing that style?

There is nothing wrong with our offensive "system".

The problem is with execution. This is a player and coaching staff issue and is correctable.

I prefer our power run, pro-style offense. I complements our dominant defense and keeps them off the field and fresh for the fourth quarter (when executed properly, that is).

Here's a clue, sparky. You have to have a quick and rather fast on his feet QB to run a system like Oregon's. Have you ever seen them play? Have you see Mett try to run?

To even suggest that Mett could operate effectively in that system is worse than merely ignorant. Go back to your Play Station.

I completely understand that changing styles means replacing Mett and probably giving it to Jennings. But Jennings is here for spring which makes it doable.
