Who says he is not? Who says JLee is not? We need both these guys. I could give not one half a shite which one starts. They both play.

Lee just can't handle pressure, period.

Sure he throws a little better ball, but what good is it if is too timid to make a play?

Kind of funny that when LSU wins with JL as the starter and his completion % is in the 40's and passing yards are under 100yds people say he had a great game and did what he was asked to do. JJ did the exact same thing and instead of people congratulating him on the win and doing enough to get the win, people are trying to tear him down to make JL look good.

I'm glad we had another QB to step in a do his job after the Shady's thing, but he shouldn't have all of these excuses for him for the same things you bash JJ for. We should play whoever gives us the best chance to win each game and if that happens to be JJ then oh well support you team like you tell JJ supporters to do when JL is starting.

Our fanbase is too stupid and racist to cheer for JJ if he was announced as the starter.

It has absolutely nothing to do with race and everything to do with how he throws the ball and his decision making. To prove my point when Josh Booty, who was white, started for LSU and people wanted Rohan Davey, who was black, to play.

I strongly disagree. Lee, with a little JJ mixed in there, got us to this point. We're not playing Bama's defense again (unless the unlikely rematch happens) and this game shouldn't define Lee's season. We need a passing threat, we still won't throw much with JJ. Lee stayed the starter for a reason, he was playing very well.

But hey, frick Lee. Let's put your favorite QB in.

ETA: Sooner or later, teams will catch on to the "we run it 99% of the time with JJ" style of play.

Look Ive been all for JJ since day 1. But in fairness to Lee and in regards to the success we've had prior to Alabama, we shouldnt change the formula this late in the season. Especially since we dont face a team as defensively strong as Bama. I do think JJ should get a LOT more snaps especially in passing situations. More instances where JJ gets entire drives rather than situational stuff.

BUT....... I have 2 big concerns in regards to Lee going forward.

1. How fragile is Lee's psyche once he makes that first mistake. Its like he cant recover or he lets it affect him as the game goes on. I mean you see it in his face during the game and even Mark May others on espn make comment to the effect that Lee seemed to be in a state of shock after the first pick. Yea he put on a brave front but you can see the wheels coming off of a guy who has been MONEY all year long.

2. Lee is a "scripted" QB. What I mean is if things dont go according to gameplan he doesnt know what to do. Ive been watching this guy for four years and its become obvious after the Bama game. LSU game plan is to pound and pound the ball with the run game........suck in the safeties to help on the run .........hit em with the playaction with a wide open RRandle or Odell/Shepard down the field.

Only against bama the run game got stuffed and the play-action was nowhere near as effective. WR's werent getting separation. The O-line was allowing penetration. The script got flipped and so did Lee.

I WANT Lee to start and get his head back. But Im worried about the defense of Arkansas and Georgia or South Carolina in the SEC championship game. No they not as talented or good as Bama, BUT just enough to disrupt our offense. I hope Lee can cope.

LSU gained 91.9 percent of their rushing yards with Jefferson on the field.

I don't know why you hate the guy that played a big role in preserving the perfect season.

I think all the QBs should play.
Why not start JJ in his final year at home?
Lee is no fragile emotional flower.
He's been through worse than not starting.

Jefferson played very well for us. He still holds the ball too long. JLee is still our starter but we will use both.

None of the other teams we've played this year have anywhere near the ball skills or speed to stay step for step with our WRs, and Lee admittedly forced some throws. I think CLM taking him out immediately after the first INT was a good call, but I think it also rattled him a little. The second pick was a hurried throw coming off a bad snap, and was admittedly another terrible throw. My point is this: you need to give him a confidence boost, and to start him against WKU and Ole Miss is the way to do that. He's earned the starting job since the JJ parking lot fracas, and although JJ was huge in the Bama game, Lee is still the proven starter. Both guys play, but Lee is the leader

Ok, Lee can't handle CHAOS period...is that better?

Is so funny the sympathy JL gets for sh*tty play, but the same people in the same situation jump down JJ's throat.

Some people just do not want to see JJ succeed. How can you say Lee should have step one foot on the field again after his second pick in a game of this magnitude? We can't have that kind sh*t in even bigger games with him going into shock.

I'm not saying he should play or start another game, but let's just give credit where it's do after a great win. Depending on the team, whatever style of play needed to beat our opponent, then that's what we should do whether it be JL starting or JJ. But JL is rattled he should be taken out.

JJ played well and was the best quarterback for that game, but was hardly superman. What he brought was the ability to run the option to the outside, and yes he did take some serious shots to get the ball to Ford - but Ford earned those yards. Regarding the two field goals in regulation, one of them was set up by an interception and return by Claiborne and the other on a long completion to RS10 who had beaten his man by a lot. Had the ball been in front of him would have waltzed in for the TD. There are just a few other players that had a hand in it to say that JJ was the person that had the most impact on them.

Lee doesn't win that game, but I would have liked to see him on the field for the next series (not next half) after his first pick to give him a chance to settle, after his second pick he was done for the night. This has nothing to do with him being scared of taking a hit (8 of 13 TD's have been when he is being blitzed) and everything to do with how LSU as a team matched up to Alabama as a team.

I pretty much agree with OBUDan, that we ask so little of our QB's that it mostly doesn't matter, but you still start Lee. One bad game against the best defense shouldn't cause the most efficient passer in the SEC to lose his starting position.

Yea I mean Lee's confidence is sky high right now.

Not only did he get pulled on the first drive but then gets put it throws a pic and gets pulled again. He was just beaming full of confidence here. Gets put back in throws a pic then gets pulled for the rest of the game.
