Great question. I think regardless Miles has to make a change. McMillan or Scott. Jimbo still isn't here.

I don't think Jimbo was coming to LSU because Etling transferred here. I don't see that connection. Miles would have still be fired and by that time Jimbo wasn't coming. If he was going to be LSU's head coach it would have been after the 2015 season.. I am not sure how things would have played out after Miles was fired. But for some reason I have a feeling Coach O would have still been our coach..

McMillan was never going to start unless there were injuries. He was purely a depth add, a guy who would stick with LSU for 5 years despite never being the top choice.

Head coach would've still been O. QB would be Lindsey Scott and everyone in Zachary would be screaming "toldja so!" Then we would go 6-6 and lose to frickin Memphis or some shite in the Music City Bowl. Then O would be fired. The rant would have a nuclear meltdown. Dumbass rumors about Jon Gruden would surface again. Alleva would contact PJ Fleck then get laughed at. He would then retire out of fear he would frick up another head coaching search. Les Miles would be hired as AD. Then we would hire Bradley Dale Peveto as head football coach. All of this sounds horrible doesn't it? THANK GOD Etling transferred to LSU. Geaux Tigers.

Simple. Harris would have played all year, Miles still fired, O still hired. Might have actually got screwed out of Myles and Lowell. Thank God for Etling.

This is the answer to a GOOD question.
Etling , being an upgrade from Harris, allowed O to change things up offensively. Harris wasn't getting it done and O would have had no experience at QB which would have probably meant a losing season, and the two talented guys would have thought twice about what O could do for them and gone elsewhere.
