If AJ doesn't see the field this year, what's the chances he transfers?

I know everything is speculation right now, and CLM hasn't named a starter, but humor me for the moment. Since it seems Harris has the keys to the offense right now, and if he proves to be a serviceable qb at the least, when does Jennings see the writing on the wall that his playing days at LSU are over barring injury to the starter, and jump ship to find playing time else where? What says the rant?

I honestly think AJ would stay

He will certainly be on the field at some point.

But no he won't.

If that scenario plays out, then yes, I could see him transferring after this year. Franks is the real deal and Harris will more than likely be the qb for the next 1-2 years after this year. So if he thinks he can play, he might transfer

If Harris does pan out then I think he would with Franks coming in next year.

Zero, he should stick around and learn to be a coach or just get his degree. The kid will never be an NFL quarterback.

I'm just assuming that Jennings has enough self awareness to know that he is not a NFL QB

I just don't see him transferring for 1 year of play

If he wants to play, he should transfer at end of season. I don't see him playing much this year, but he will be one play away from starting - if BH gets hurt. So he will stay this year. But next year, Franks is the backup to BH for 2 years.

We'll nearly be at the same position with QB depth in 2016 if Jennings leaves.

Why would he transfer? Would he start elsewhere? He would be a senior. Would he have to sit a year unless he went lower level? What good would that do for him? He would still be in better position being the next backup at LSU

I think it's a fair question you asked.

not sure where Jennings would go. He's simply not a good passer, so what school would want him?

All great questions, and I guess I have know idea if it would be worth transferring. But he most likely wants to play ball, and if it's not here i wouldnt blame him for leaving to play the game while he still can (assuming no NFL future). And as for where he could play... FCS, maybe a small FBS team. No idea.

Jennings will stick around and be the backup, and a damn good one at that. He seems to me like he's a program guy. We know Cam likes him. We'll still need him at some point over the next 2 seasons.

Nevermind. That's a very good reason.
