What did we go last year with JJ?.... like 11-2? I'd really like to see a 14-0 but if we go another 11-2 with Mister Lee under center, I don't consider that a failed season. People, get real!!

I can't figure out whether you're agreeing with me or not. I don't understand the whole "we went 11-2 with JJ, he's a good QB" thinking. Without Lee we don't go 11-2. Even if we went 11-2 with JJ alone, it doesn't change the fact that he is a truly miserable prospect at QB. I understand he's did his best. I understand he's trying hard. Still doesn't change the fact that he is not a sound QB. Sorry.

i agree. also if we are to play a 2 qb system, i would rather it be lee and zm. nothing against jj as a person, but he just isn't going to cut it. if we had average qb play last year, we would have went to a bcs bowl imo. i'm ready for the jj era to end, and the start of a new one. i wish jj the best and hope he gets a great job after he's finished with school, but he's not the answer.

Yeah, I want me some Lee like he played against La Tech two years ago.

TWO years ago against a sorry opponent AT HOME where he was under huge pressure. The whole team was flat and he didn't play well in his one outing. Everyone gave up on him then.

But, then we had last season - Tennessee, Florida, Alabama - and multiple other appearances where he played well.

85 passes and 1 INT.

Multiple comeback victories.

A clutch, game sealing pass against Bama.

4th and 18 against Tennessee.

He has erased the La Tech debacle in my mind. I'm not saying that he'll be all world, but I am optimistic that we will have something resembling an offense this year.

Also, you have Kragthorpe coaching him - a real QB coach for the first time in his career.

Having JJ as qb was like watching a soccer game. You get fricking pumped for one score.

Fwiw, I was pulling for JJ. And am a soccer fan.

But I am really excited to watch Lee. All last season the media kept talking about how JJ wasn't good enough to a productive offense and I kept thinking Lee was going to continue to become more and more a part of our offense. But it just didnt happen enough.

I can't wait to see Lee go a full game against a big time opponent.

I never said he was a great QB. He was serviceable. Its crazy how some of u dickridas like urself who practically booed the shite out of Lee and now he is the next coming of Aaron Rodgers. Gtfo with that shite.

How about this, let's support our team and the guys taking the field dressed in the purple and gold.
Nothing else matters, all the this guy over this guy crap has no bearing on the game Saturday night, OUR team is on the big stage vrs the ducks and and we all have a want for victory!!!!!!
It is what it is, let's win one game at a time with some LSU TIGERS...........

I still say that game doesn't bother me. He was starting in place of an injured JJ. Who was behind Lee? Our offense was vanilla and we just wanted to get out of that game without injuring another qb.

Glad to see people are still kicking Jefferson while he is down.

ISWYDT

But, I'm actually not trying to criticize him personally. I am just speaking from a pure football perspective.

The hopeless feeling when it comes to the offense is gone.

a classic example of very bad statistical conclusions. If JJ played all of the Tenn, FlA and Bama games, we probably would have won 9 games (maybe 8) and played in the Peach or Independence bowl or something like that.

No. He wasn't serviceable. How in the frick do figure he was serviceable? Matt Mauck was "serviceable". Matt Flynn was "serviceable". JJ was horrible. And who in the hell said Lee was the second coming of Rodgers? Your reading comprehension skills don't really surprise me considering "dickridas" seems to the handiest weapon in your bag.

you would be correct. LA Tech came in there with nothing to lose and blitzed the house on almost every play and our OL blocked for crap and our WRs were running 10-15 yard routes. That was a terrible gameplan.

I really dont think people understand this.

What scares me is that Les will not modify his game plan for Lee.

We'll see who's game planning that was real soon.

Excellent points. I almost feel guilty agreeing with it, but it's true. The last 3 years of offense has been like watching someone try to push a string.
