Unc ended like 20-30 minutes before LSU started.

I doubt that CLM gets a new gig. Any team that saw the obvious difference between the same talent under two different coaching leads would be a fool to hire him.......UNLESS they were looking to build a competitive team but didn't have realistic expectations of NC's with great a great man at the helm. Think Vandy or Tulane would be a no brainer.

Anyone think Les would take such a clearly lesser job?

I agree the focus should be on the current coach and team, but I honestly believe LM would have a very good second career as a TV sports personality. He is funny, likable, and knows how to engage people. He has seen the best of his coaching days.

He's not good enough for a lesser job.

If Miles were forced to coach a season after his team didn't have the superior talent but rather, was the lesser team in most games, he might break a record for futility.

Remember, this is a man who got pissed mightily that Mett almost bootlegged a TD in an Ole Miss blowout. He punished him and the team by making them kneel the ball for the final few minutes

Meh. I saw nothing wrong with that. We were skullfricking them.

Plus, the mercy knee was awesome.

Cameron was terrible everywhere he coached so blaming Miles for everything is just stupid.

If Orgeron felt that Cameron was being "held back" he wouldn't have fired him and promoted Ensminger. Orgeron knows what the problem was and fixed it.

You might want to re-think your post

With 5 days of planning

FIVE DAYS

They had to bring that game together in a limited amount of time, with a group of young men that were in a state of bewilderment

Its almost criminal that Miles couldn't have been doing the same, with years to prepare them

For years all of us amateurs here had to listen to the pumpers tell us how smart Miles is and how he knows so much more about football and his team than any of us could possibly understand. Well Saturday was just proof the guy didn't know shite about offense.
....

This...every time I read "how moles knew more football" from one of those assholes like Choctaw or beefense..this is the definitive statement that should exist to say "keep away from the board"

With Less, we hoped that the defense didn't run out of gas defending a lead after being on the field for the majority of the game, last week the concern might have been the offense running out of gas after being on the field the majority of the game. Good thing to have lots of quality running backs

Was that really the story at the time? I don't really remember that narrative. It was 52-3 and LSU had 1st and Goal at the 1. I don't see why you'd get upset that a naked bootleg went 25 yards and then punish the team.

quote:

Miles, who took a timeout after Zach Mettenberger ran to the 1-yard-line, said he "didn't want to take a 5-yard penalty, so I called time out. Then at that point in time, I realized I didn't want to score either. So I told them to kneel on it. … Victory was assured. There's no reason to take snaps at that point."

When did the story that it was a punishment start?

Because you go for the fricking kill dickhead
You NEVER take your foot off the gas. Get Miles's cock out of your mouth, it's embarrassing.

How I'v become synonymous with a Miles pumper is perplexing.

Did I argue otherwise? I'm asking about this story that he was trying to punish the team. Where/when did that story come about?

I think the managing a program statement was a little over your head, by like a mile.
