Keep in mind that Les has MORE SEC title game appearances and more BCS appearances than our previous coach. He has won the same number of NCs and SEC titles as our previous coach at LSU.

Let's not forget who set the table for him and took the program from the toilet to where it was when the keys were handed over. When Miles coaches against like talent he's never going to outwit anyone.

You mean like last year against Bama in Tiger Stadium and this year against Bama in Bryant-Denny?

The Hat is:
------------
2-1 in BCS Bowls
2-1 in SEC Championship Games
6-3 all time in bowl games.

You're right, he sucks against like talent.

Les is like a C student in high school. He does just enough to get by and not fail. I doubt he wins a championship but probably a bcs bowl game which will make tiger nation happy while bama goes full steam ahead with top 5 recruiting class every year.

I'm more concerned with OL protection of QB.Mett will just need a great O-Line.We have the backs and WR's.Watch Dural from Breaux Bridge. He will be the next great receiver at LSU.

but we still don't have a crystal ball. no one will remember our good record but how we flopped and thats what kiel saw too i guess

LSU still has a great chance to win the NCG this year. If it doesn't happen this year, fans can turn on Miles again. He had enough talent do to it '06, '07, last year and this coming year. Will see what happens.

Les is an "A" student. It's just that Saban is an "A+" student.

If Les would keep his hands out of the offense it would be 10x more productive. Let the kragthorpe and stud do their thing and stick to mismanaging the clock.

Now we'll miss out on all those natl championships like Payton won at Tennessee.

Miles "inherited" a pretty damn good program. People will expect an occasional national title. Let's see going forward, we had a chance this year and will next year as well.

one trait of Les is he tends to respond to problems when they become very obvious.

No defense? Hire Chavis.
Crowton sucks? Quietly ease him out and hire Kragthorpe.
Poor qb? Watch him go out and recruit qb's.

Saban did the same thing. if you remember 2002, he had NO qbs after Mauck got hurt. Said that wasn't going to happen again and signed Flynn and Russell. Told Lane to take a hike when he wanted to be the only signee at that position.

Everyone remembers us beating Bama at Bama right? True we lost the rematch, but I doubt people consider us "C" material.

There was always a number viable excuses. Ex.. RP knocked us back one year or two, starting two young qb's, crowton blew, and so on. None of those are excusable now. Top QB, top talent, he has experience, time n our system, a good QB coach. There is absolutely no excuse this time and I think Les knows that.

If I were a standout high school QB, I would NEVER consider coming to LSU so long as Les Miles is the coach of the team.

Anyone and I do mean anyone, can recognize fair from unfair. Treating Lee as he was treated after leading LSU to 8 - 0 struck all college football fans as "unfair" and this includes top recruits.

Who knows if that mess on display a week ago, might have had something to do with This top recruit Gunther Kiel changing his mind. And for those angry about him stiffing LSU, he stiffed Indiana before you so get over it.

I think that's my point, and it paints a predictable picture.

Les fixes problems. But Les waits until its a problem before he fixes it.

Les fired Crowton. But he fired him way after it became apparent that there was a problem.

Les fired Malveto. But he fired them way after it became apparent that there was a problem.

Les went out and recruited quarterbacks. Bue he recruited them way after it became apparent that there was a problem.

All of his fixes have been outstanding. But his proactiveness compared to his reactiveness leaves us all wanting.

Wow, that is spot on. The bad part is, us as fans, recognize every little imperfection as a problem. So by the time Miles decides to fix it, we have been discussing it and defending it for a while. It's like he can't win with fans if he doesn't think every issue = sky falling. It would really help himself and our fanbase if he would discuss or at least acknowledge concerns before they blow up, but that just isn't Les.

To elaborate on your point, I hope his results with our QB issues are as successful as the rest of them he has fixed n the past.
