Mulkey has to get better talent; she is a great coach but all coaches have to have to have great talent to win national championships. She will get it done.

Exactly and you could just stop right there.

Anyone expecting to win that game today does not know the landscape of women's college basketball.

And I will tell you I don't watch much either, it's like college baseball for me, I watch LSU and that's pretty much it.

But I do read about it and look at scores and results and it's not that complicated.

Here's my take. Women's college hoops is still today very much like men's college hoops was in the 60's and early to mid 70's. There are only about 3 or 4 teams per year that typically have a shot to win the title.

Mulkey is one of the 3 or 4 best coaches in the country so soon and for me that's next year LSU will be in that number consistently.

I don't think we are there this year which is a testament to the coaching job Kim has done and how good she is.

We have not played one of those 3-4 teams until today. In fact I don't think we've played one of the 10 best women's team in the country until today so for me the results going into their gym was predictable.

But starting next year you will see that change, we will be in that number and we will be for years to come and banners will be hung.

yeah, only overly emotional decision making Rantards like purplengold1 would doubt a coach this far in to their tenure.

Well I damn sure hope you didn't stop believing in CKM after one loss to the best team in WBB.

She could win it all without ever playing this team again.

Strange title. It suggests because they lost Mulkey should be questioned and you decided to stick with her.

Just silly.

Absolutely. With Kim Mulkey, the championships are definitely coming - and soon. Look out once Kim gets a couple of recruiting classes under her belt.

They were never going to win when the refs swallowed the whistle on our end and blew it on their end.
Mulky set the table for that probability last week when she said in the end "this game means little or nothing." If LSU continues winning, we'll face that same team in the SEC Finals, then again in the NCAA's. SC has far superior talent, no question. But they won't get off to an 18-2 start again if these two meet.

Our Tigers ran into a more talented, deep SC squad that has truly separated themselves from the rest of CBB. With that said I'm betting we learned much about ourselves and what it takes to compete at that level. I would bet $$ we will play them better in round 2 or 3. Let's work hard to get there!

Subject title implies that OP has almost zero tolerance for anything less than a win.

It is year 2, LSU was #3 in nation going into game against reigning water mark of championships Women's basketball. Comes away with loss, and all that led to being at this position in this short period of time is given slight notice. "Still" believe in Mulkey.

Perhaps it is choice of words. Perhaps it is mindset.

But, geezum.
