It's easy to point out folks who are hopelessly stuck in the rut of confirmation bias when it comes to this sort've thing here. Whether it's a positive or negative outcome, moreso than ever there can be no measured or balanced discussion. You MUST choose a side or pick a position.
This team can play hot and cold and absolutely has throughout the year. Life-like baseball-is not binary.
It's sad because if folks could loosen their death grip of pride holding their opinions then some great conversation could be had. But it is what it is. What's important to them isn't the mixed, gray-colored bag called reality, it's the white or black piece of real-estate folks have staked a claim to who are more worried about it being RIGHT.

Hey dumbass this is a site for LSU fans. Most true fans aren't happy when their favorite team isn't playing well and they come here to vent...this is the tiger rant and we are fanatics of LSU. If I ever get to the point t that playing poorly doesn't bother me I probably wouldn't post.

Negative threads about negative posters are the lowest form of internet.

Hopefully HESS, Walker, Peterson, Gilbert will give us the best depth we've had since 2009! Also we have to turn into a singles hitting team like last night. The long ball does NOT work in the new stadium in OMAHA! Geaux Tigers!

Nothing wrong with venting, but the morons who called for CPM to be fired, claimed he didn't know anything about baseball and said this team might not even make a regional (let alone host or get a national seed) should go away and stop posting. They are reactionary millennials and this board, as well as our fan base, would be better off without them.

The guys are playing much better baseball than earlier in the year.
The last few years we have been hot heading into the post-season only to cool off when it matters.
The fact remains we still have a coach that does some pretty boneheaded stuff in regards to pitching changes, as well as completely throwing out the notion of playing small ball.
I'm cautiously optimistic, but I've seen Maineri leave a guy in too long far too many times and I've seen him refuse to put down a bunt to move a potential run just as many times.

I'd say some of the more reactionary, miserable posters are the (seemingly) older ones. It never does cease to amaze me how many people loudly and proudly display their ignorance of the game of baseball year in year out (and even game in game out) any time there's any semblance of adversity.

SEC tourney really is meaningless and LSU is in best shape since they get a day off

LSU after this UK win really doesn't need anymore wins

For fans who claim to be so smart bout college baseball, it's amazing to me that many don't seem to understand that the season is not a sprint but a long distance race.
The baseball team is already a success. All that's to be decided is how big of a success it will be,
