All true. I guess I'm not being fair to any QB who has to play behind a sorry O Line as well. He should be better and he's not. But I see more of him being able to succeed better with coaching rather than not succeeding just cuz he doesn't have "it". I just want to know rhetorically of course if any of these freshman QB's this weekend would have those numbers in our system. Maybe by year 3 they'd improve, but I'd have to believe that they'd still struggle as long as this staff is in place.

I'll tell you what bothers me, I'm friends with Jacory Washington's family and I remember Les and Cam promising him they wanted him to stretch the field from the TE position.
Ole Miss and Alabama were after him hard-he even stood Saban up to stay home and help recruit others. You see Howsrd at Bama and Engram at Ole Miss and just have to wonder what he's thinking. He and Desean hardly see the field because they're not built like OT's AND they were lied to, there's been ZERO attempts to make the TE any part of the passing game.

Only difference is Meyer develops QB great IMO. Les Miles and Cam Cameron doesn't.

We really need to open up our route trees to give Harris and the WRs an easier time.

You and i have no idea if this is true.
We have no idea what numbers on the route tree we use unless we can see the all 22 film.

LSU offensively struggles with basic execution at virtually every position. Every play there is a breakdown that will blow the play up. Coupled with the OL getting dominated physically, this puts BH in a vulnerable position. He start to press at the first sign of pressure and it actually carries over to the next play. That last pick had him shaking one guy and was flustered enough to just throw it to the defender when no one else was around him. I'm not bailing him out. He lacks poise and pocket awareness. They are again trying to make him something he is not. He has always been a sprint out qb and not a pocket passer and this will never change.

What makes it worse for him is that the OL has no chemistry and is not as physical as everyone makes them out to be.

Ditto for the DL. Everyone thinks the world of the strength coach Tommy Moffitt except me I suppose. Against the SEC, LSU has been dominated physically for the last 3-4 years and with all of the returning starters and what I have seen on the tube, it looks like it will be the case again.

Man ain't that the truth bro! These kids want to win so bad at home and for LSU that they decide to stay home for these "promises" and meanwhile every other TE in America gets utilized and gets to show what they have. Our TE's are basically glorified edge blockers and like you said instead of using them to actually catch the ball and use their athleticism, they are relegated to blocking of the bench. Aggravates me to no end.

Harris is not a QB and never should have been at LSU as a QB.
Harris is an athlete playing QB plain and simple.

Spot on! You broke it down from A-Z. They make it to where things have to be perfect for Harris to succeed. That very seldom happens. So what you get is what you've seen the past year or so.

What progressions? It's two man routes? The the other wr is on the other side of the field.

What does this really mean? He has a laser for an arm, and doesn't really like to take off running. Seems like a QB to me.

Just not very accurate or poised.

Hoping the Eagles release Gordon and he's granted a 6th year.

Harris looks like a freshman because we don't have a system that allows qb's to grow. It's not all Harris's fault.

Harris needs to be in the shotgun 80% of the time so he can see the field faster, like he was in high school. But les doesn't like to run from shotgun, so tgatll never happen.

You're right. There are big time coaching and O-line problems, but I doubt they were running panic and throw it to the other team drills all off season either.

We do not usually run 2 wr routes.

Last year the 3wr set was our most used formation and was the leading set in 10 games. Last year we ran the 3 wr set 49% of all formations.

Exaclty. Or at least implement a trips formation where he doesnt have to be a full field progression qb.
Its so frustrating to see our staff not putting our qbs in positions to succeed.

Yep. You and I know Damn well that when Harris is under center, he's deciding which side of the field he's going to, because he can't process the whole field. You can work around that.

Hell, les can even run an hback/fullback from shotgun and still have the same number of blockers for LF.

But that's just too creative

Harris panicked and threw the interception that ended LSU's chance to win at Lambeau. He could have run for 5 - 10 yards but didn't. I guess he isn't a duel threat after all.

Harris has no desire to run the ball. He is a gunslinger in his mind.

I dont know if that's his mentality, or if the coaches taught him that.

I would suggest he count to 3 while scanning the field, then take off. Too much hesitation.
