I know we rag on Harris, but this is all on the coaches.

You can't convince me for what we need Harris to do at QB, that the coaches don't marginalize him so much to where he is so ineffective. Watching all these freshman QB's succeed to this magnitude tells me all I need to know. A travesty that we will blow 18 returning starters based on ineptitude of the coaching staff. Period.

watching other games showed you how much coaching has a hand in helping a struggling qb succeed.

Jimbo started rolling the pocket when his line and qb struggled and got his qb into a rhythm.

It's the truth.

It's not on him.

If LSU had any of these successful freshman QBs they would still look horrible under this current program.. period.

And I fully believe Harris would be successful in a different program. Especially under Herman.

He threw 6 or 7 passes high on Saturday. Plus the last pick he threw he didn't even look before he threw the pick that cost us the game. So some of the blame is on him too.

With the defense we have year in and out (Esp now with Aranda) and the skill position players we get all we EVER need is decent QB play but everyone knows that. But our QBs are never allowed the opportunity to showcase, rather not lose the game for Les. All known, just venting.

Oh I totally agree. He has some of the blame to shoulder. No doubt. But watching these freshman from one half to the next in their very first games, these coaches make adjustments to benefit the QB. Yes Harris needs to be better. I'd bet you if Harris had proper coaching from day one, his overall game would be so much better. He's out there thinking and pressing far too much because of the situations they constantly put him in. He doesn't need to be a superstar. Just a "game manager" like they say. And they don't even allow him to do that. Sad all around.

That kid has been taught to "not lose". That's very different than being taught to "go win". He has zero confidence and that starts at practice.

He has been in this shite show for 3 years now. They should have all the kinks worked out with him. He should have developed like a real Junior QB should have but he hasn't.

Did y'all see Cam sitting with Harris after he threw the pic? He looked just as lost as Harris. Miles and Cam need to be fired yesterday.

Completely agree 100%. My point I guess is how many QB's have to come thru the program and struggle before we realize they all don't receive proper coaching? I just think there is no way all of our QB's are as bad as they look. Even being average with proper coaching can be all we need. Look no further than Wisconsin's QB. Made mistakes sure, but did all that was necessary to win. And I guarantee you he's not even a Top 50 QB in the country. Both parties should take responsibility no doubt, but coaches are supposed to help, not be a detriment.

The coaches make it too difficult on him. Did we ever see any easy rollout passes (to the right lol)?

We actually threw the ball quite a bit, 42% pass vs 36% last year. Les think a because we throw more, that's opening up the offense...but that is not what's needed.

They are just too difficult and predictable.

Harris just isnt accurate.
The coaches called simple passes to try to get him into rhythm but he couldnt connect.
He cant go through his progressions during his drop. During his drop you never see him plant his plant foot and just fire the ball out. He clearly doesnt trust his eyes and arm.

We really need to open up our route trees to give Harris and the WRs an easier time.
