I haven't watched ESPN since the 1/9/12 debacle for anything other than a game

And my life has been just fine. I might have watched College Gameday for a few minutes here and there, but not enough to remember.

I don't watch the talk shows or Sportscenter. I flip past it. I don't care what they think.

I am happier.

You should try it. The only time I hear about ESPN saying this or that is when it gets reported on this board.

Why do we care what anyone thinks about LSU nationally? Just win.

Haven't watched in years now. Everyday that choice looks better and better.

No one cares that you don't care.

Just don't comment. Go away.

You seem to care, though.

Ditto. Have no use for it other than as a means to an end to watch a football game. It starts and ends right there.

I've been that way for years. I don't watch any pregame ESPN stuff. I turn the game on at kickoff. And same for NFL.

The invention of twitter made ESPN irrelevant to me. Never even turn it on unless theres a game or 30 for 30 re-run I like.

I have to say, that's pretty weird and frankly unbelievable.

Is it just because you can't take hearing one second of opinion you disagree with? You've missed some pretty good 30 for 30 shows, fwiw.

I do sometimes watch SEC Today or whatever it's called on the SEC Network but other than that, I'm with you. No ESPN other than games.

Exactly , eliminating the media from your life is the first step toward happiness, the second step is minding your own business and not getting wrapped up in other people's shite. Especially politicians , pop stars and pro atheletes..

I'll go one better.

I quit watching it outside of game coverage after LSU beat UGA in 2003 (regular season) but ESPN claimed we really "lost".

I also started muting my TV during games at this point as well and putting music on surround sound instead.

Much more entertaining.
