I have no idea how people are blaming all this on Daniels.

Receivers didn't help him out AT ALL in the game. All over CFB I see receivers making insane catches, but ours can't make one unless it hits them right in the middle of both their hands.

OL was complete garbage. The fact that people think Brennan could even set his damn feet for more than a second with that OL is baffling.

TDs being taken back because of penalties, running game non existent, and offensive play calling lacks imagination.

Guy catches pass and immediately falls, WR screen, both blockers miss the one got damn guy to block (both those plays were in the backfield). Boutte runs into Taylor, yet the announcer blames Daniels. I'm seeing games like Ohio St where the QB can hit a swing pass or WR screen, and the kids make a play, block well, and take a 2 yard pass and go 40-50+.

Now I know what BK was talking about in the post game. If people are blaming Daniels for this mess, they hate the kid plain and simple. I implore LSU fans to rewatch that offense and tell me the whole offensive team including coach, are even close to doing what they should be capable of.

He has his flaws, sure enough, but so does every QB. The problem is, some of their flaws are covered by players and scheme. He gets zero help. RBs, WRs, TEs, OL, coaches, no help.

He isn't a real QB. He is fricking terrible. Inaccurate, not intelligent, and will never be successful. OL isn't great, but he makes them look worse by not getting the ball out. No attempts down field and so few yards per completion will not win many games. Receivers are rhythm and confidence guys. No one can have confidence or get into a rhythm with that shite at QB. You are totally shocked if a ball is thrown and damn sure if it is near catchable. Even slants are thrown high and behind, which is the worst placement for what is supposed to be a "gimme" throw. Funny how these guys were better with other QBs.

Lmao insane catches come every now and again. An SEC QB trying to get noticed by the NFL should be able to make good throws consistently. Not rely on WRs having to catch balls low and behind them in traffic.

JD only had 13 incompletions with I think 2 being throw-aways. That's 10 dropped passes on 45 targets (forgot his INT). Did you think his WR's would be 100%?

JD made some good throws but also some absolute bad throws. Go on youtube and watch any video where they breakdown the film of almost every offensive play we ran. He was late pulling the trigger on many throws that allowed the defense to stop us for shorter gains than if he would've thrown on time. He also threw a few balls completely out of bounds when trying to get it to the WR down the sideline. He shoveled a pass to the RB out of the backfield, which was wobbly and absolutely horrible. He threw 1 behind Boutte with him running a full-speed crossing route (hard for a WR to reach back on those kind of throws). Even on some completions, JD often had a better option that was more open but didn't even look their way. The film breakdown will give a better idea of the problem the offense is having. JD needs to be a lot more decisive and aggressive with his passes. The O-line definitely had problems with twists on the left side. M. Taylor needs to be given less playing time and Bech needs to fill the TE position. M. Taylor and K. Taylor both got beat numerous times on their blocks. Jenkins had a WR screen for negative yards, not only did he telegraph the screen, two players failed to block 1 player that beat both and made the tackle for a loss (1 guy beat 2 guys to tackle a 3rd).

Our running game is horrendous. We ran into 7/8 man boxes all game. We refused to pass into the middle of the field and often had no route utilizing the middle, even on 3rd or 4th and long. It was just a disaster.

JD's biggest problem is seeing the entire field and quickly processing the bit he does see. From film breakdown, I'm not sure he knows what route every WR is running. His accuracy with many of his passes was a BIG difference as to why some completions were just short gains.

I’m sure all of our multiple penalties in every game help us out as well

Go watch the video of Brennan @ Mizzou in '20. Brennan was harassed all game long and our offense looked on a whole different level better than now.

Why is this site enthralled with Daniel’s? Does he run some type of religion on the side? He’s a great young man. And a great athlete. But He’s just not an SEC QB. Face it.

Brennan had the benefit of good play calling and was throwing to Terrace Marshall.

There are plenty of times Daniels does have time to throw it and still takes off. Sometimes the receivers are covered, sometimes it’s a bad play design, but more than half the time it’s because he is late on a read, or doesn’t trust himself and won’t throw it. I do actually think Brennan would be better. The blocking on pass plays is better than you think. The blocking on run plays is horrendous however.

A lot of what you say is true, the offense has problems everywhere. But it’s also true that JD has bad decision making and the game is too fast for him. He can not read a defense pre snap and/or make any pre snap adjustments to help his RB’s or OL. He cannot throw his WR’s open consistently enough and you can tell he doesn’t trust his WR’s and they don’t trust him.

Additionally I saw him keep it when he should have given it, and give it when should have kept it on the read option.

Watching him live at the game, the game is just moving entirely too fast for him. He doesn’t have it between the ears.

Even then I haven't been impressed with the receivers. I will say that Brian Thomas has been impressive though.

This post is completely correct. Yea he's definitely limited. We also get someone who doesn't throw pics. But even more, we got no OL, can't establish a run, and receivers are week to week at best.

Well, even Max Johnson set records throwing to Boutte last year with that dumpster fire line and Brennan is better than JD and MJ. There is a constant and that constant is JD. He doesn't have it and he is never gonna get it. LSU most likely would be 5-1 right now with MB, with a loss to Tennessee. MB took a beating in that Mizzou game and kept delivering the ball to multiple receivers all over the field. What people don't understand is, when your line is bad, you can make up for it when a QB can pre-diagnose a defense and then get the ball out fast. JD can't do that.

I had forgotten about that WR screen where the receivers whiffed on that block. That was actually pathetic...I'm sure that was Daniels' fault as well...the inside out that Tennessee was using on their D line at times where the DE gets to run at the QB unabated.....if only Daniels would have checked off to a hot route on a blitz that was not a blitz...right? Where was the rb to pick up that????
