Because our AD just royally fricked up the most important hire of his career at LSU. Throw into the mix the fact that the QB who many fans thought would be our "savior" has decided to pursue other options because Coach O is chasing a kid who is going to Bama. We are a national laughingstock.

I'm a little intrigued by it as well. I find it a little odd that he hasn't inked it yet.

Don't be stupid! If he signs the NEW contract he is telling everyone he is staying until he gets an upgrade of a job "HC or NFL" and being UT's DC isn't an upgrade!

This is very common with coaching contracts. It's counterintuitive, given the amounts involved, but it happens all of the time. He'll sign when he gets around to it.
