He started it when they first showed her (a former CBB and WNBA star) on the screen with "Jennifer Azzi, what a Queen!"

Note to Bob Dylan:

Maravich wore no floppy socks with the New Orleans Jazz.
He wore the floppy socks at LSU. The NBA had uniform restrictions.

The weirdest stuff to me was when they mentioned Robert Morris winning and he went on a Robert Kennedy tangent. I was like 'WTF Walton?"

My favorite comment of the night:

When talking about the USF Women's coach...

"She's an angel of mercy standing in a shaft of light."

He was paraphrasing a Dead song, Estimated Prophet, by Weir/Barlow:

California, a prophet on the burning shore
California, I'll be knocking on the golden door
Like an angel, standing in a shaft of light
Rising up to paradise, I know I'm gonna shine

Far out, man!

"Do you think O'Bryant is Irish?"

"Not likely, Bill."

Certainly seemed to be an extremely pro-LSU announcer. I'm sure the USF fans were not toobexcited about all his LSU love.

I never knew that Dale Brown's first job after leaving N Dakota was coaching junior high in Berkeley, CA.

Hard to not like all his LSU stories.
