"Dignity"

How many fans knew that Dignity was written by Bob Dylan with Pistol Pete in mind?

That gem alone made the whole commentary worth it.

In addition, he treated it like a game. No whining. No bias. Smooth.

Bill also added factual commentary - even if LSU facts involved prep
- Wasn't Mamadou Ndiaye in NBA playing for Raptors?
- He was a good player at Auburn.
- How many Mamadou Ndiayes are there?

Maybe Germans, but do folks realize that Walton's son Adam played for LSU 1996-97? So be kind...

i'm being kind when i say that the only LSU fans that maybe don't know that are the really young ones.

His tongue in cheek annoyance at short basketball players was quite amusing.

I mean who knew that Bob Dylan wrote a song about Pete Maravich? That's pretty cool.

And who knew that when Dale Brown left North Dakota, he went to San Fran to participate in the free speech movement?

I do believe I heard him say at one point this LSU offense was breaking down the zone better than anyone in the country.

i can't stand him as a commentator.
I couldn't stand watching nba games when he was the commentator.
He makes me not want to watch games that he is broadcasting for, and he's probably the one announcer i feel that way about.
i just simply don't like him at all.

My favorite comment of the night:

When talking about the USF Women's coach...

"She's an angel of mercy standing in a shaft of light."

Guys, chill LSU was killing them almost the whole game. He was just killing time. But I did like it when we was blasting the refs with about 4 to go.
